Oh...surely he'd be happy to come back & sit on the bench as an impact sub for Moyes?

Apart from living through it!

You lived through the fact that he left the club. It was the club who rejected a £20m bid from Newcastle and prolonged the situation, it's not Rooney's fault that he was transferred so close to the deadline.

There's a difference between having an opinion about a situation or event and then spouting off about how a player thinks and feels about a situation when you patently have no idea about it at all. You're calling Rooney a snide and all this other stuff, but based on what ? Because he went to another club ? I suppose Arteta's a snide too.

People calling an 18 year old lad who was distracted by the bright lights of European football and winning titles a 'snide' or any other derogatory term is totally out of order. He's as much a blue as the majority of people on this forum, his playing career is just that, a career.

He could have stayed, and then we'd almost certainly be in a much worse position than we are now because we'd have one star player surrounded by utter gash. His sale was what paved the way for the regeneration of our squad, without it we would almost certainly be a lot closer to relegation every season.
