The "In Defence of Allardyce Thread "

No I’m blaming him because he’s a god awful dinosaur manager who is delivering absolute garbage whilst being paid £6.5m per year.

He talks that he would be better equipped managing Real Madrid or Inter, yet can’t set up a team to defend, isolated his striker and has a philosophy of hoofing a ball into the final third and picking up the scraps to start the attacks from there.

He’s a media lovey who talks himself into managers positions and takes no responsibility for the mess he created, as he’s doing right now. Spouted off how easy it would be, picked up a few wins then as us on a path spiralling down the table.

Yet, he still picks spineless cowards, buys a new centre forward and still has him totally isolated. He his the most anti football manager in existence and we have fans defending him
This is the typical stereotype attack people made before he was appointed. This team were playing like this before then. You are describing the way we are playing and its right but the blame lies with Koeman not Allardyce. Koemans transfer policy was garbage. We have hoofball because the alternative is a pass going to an opposition player.

Correct

There are standard manager things you can point the finger at him for i.e substitutions and how we set up etc but he can’t be blamed for our players being unable to complete 5 yard passes. What’s with fizzing the ball into your teammates at 300 miles an hour? Is this a thing now?

Basically lads we have a spineless bunch with no identity who genuinely don’t really care.

As someone who was there, it absolutely was.

Perhaps if he’d played one defensive mid, set up wide and on the deck with wingers running in behind we might have won.

But instead we played to West Brom’s strengths and got humiliated at home once again.
With that team ...those tactics would see them coming straight through us!

Koeman gets no pass from me; but is DoF and Sam best mate certainly has from the board

And on performances it seems that everyone was right, because we are witnessing it first hand. Imagine defending a man that has a team that went 4 hours without a shot on target. Don’t remember any other managers doing that.

But of course nothing to do with tactics from Sam.... oh wait, Emre who actually played under sam said this...

Allardyce lets his striker feel alone on pitch and his system can’t really provide for his team’s striker.

He’s done that his entire career

The support for Fat Sam seems to be based on the fact that he is no worse than anybody else. I had hoped the purchase of two forwards meant that he would try and play, but no, he is Fat Sam. When you play games were you don't manage a shot on target and then come out and say you need to be more defensive.
The man is despicable
, please Everton sack him.

So West Brom are second bottom, are you honestly saying we aren’t capable of playing football against them and getting the 3 points?
I've rarely seen a side so low in confidence. No one wants the ball, the whole passing game is shot completely, we have so little pace in the side and little movement, we are losing all the 50/50 tackles and fouling in frustration. The only thing that will change it is goals and some better players in midfield and both full back positions. Koeman is responsible for that legacy not Allardyce, he has to now pick up the shitty stick and take the abuse until/if he can turn it around.
