It should be fairly obvious that the events of today were entirely co-ordinated for the maximum effect of detracting from Labour's economic launch. Watson's oddly-timed resignation first thing, Austin's deranged rant, Austin and Woocock's bizarre poster campaign and then the JC's front page across the course of the day. Well done, you Tory-enabling dirtbirds.

Not sure Watson had anything to do with the other two today, though they were all part of the same faction around Brown so nothing can be ruled out.

Also takes away the attention of the Russian report not getting released.

Absolute sham that Johnson isn't getting called out on not releasing the report into Russian interference in the ref. It's it like there's an election coming up or anything.

Even if it was released, the chances of the media paying any attention to it were close to zero anyway. Private Eye has been running reports on Ehud Sheleg (the Tory Party Treasurer) for more than a year without any of them being taken up.

Them trying to fight an election not on getting Brexit done, but on trying to win an arms race with the most fiscally progressive Labour Party in 35 is utter idiocy I have to say. Cummings ego has overcome him. I would say hes been triggered.
Javid sounds like a trainee salesman in the first week of his job. He's hopeless...and the racists who vote for the Tories will be turned off from him in any case.

Ah the meeeja conspiracy theories flying around already.

We've seen loads of Tory stuff covered - the "knickers on" candidate, the rape trial scandal, Rees-Mogg and Bridgen on Grenfell, Cleverly hiding from interviews etc. etc. etc.

Momentum seem to actively need the "world is against us" angle to operate.

The fact that Watson stepping down dominated the papers despite Cairns resigning due to a scandal on the same day said it all.

Corbyn really is a good election campaigner, no doubt about it.

It's chalk and cheese to what he is in parliament.

Parliament and campaigning are just chalk and cheese in themselves. Corbyn, despite the character assassinations, is obviously a pretty affable fella. I´m sure he´d much rather be out and about talking to ordinary people than having to deal with a braying mob of Tories on a weekly basis.

Tubey if this was aimed at my post, all I can ask you to do is read the relevant bit of the current Private Eye the next time you go into a newsagent (its on page 38).

I agree, but this is the man who wants to be PM of our country, responsible for our wellbeing, economy and security. Personally I would not trust him to go to the bar and buy a round of drinks...
