Take it from someone who didn't want a Tory win but definitely didn't want a Corbyn win.

It isn't just the leader. It's the policies too. "NATIONALISE EVERYTHING!" has zero appeal; nationalise some things as part of a moderate, evolutionary, fully costed centre-left manifesto would have massive appeal.

The answer isn't to find a 'radical' leader - the answer is to appeal to people; pragmatism over ideology. Play the game that exists, not the one you wish existed.

Johnson plowing hard right was an opportunity for Labour to appeal to normal people horrified by it. Instead, they went harder in the opposite direction. In a country that is centre-right and has no socialist history whatsoever. Suicidal.

This is the stupidest thing I’ve ever read on this forum I read some really really really stupid things, firstly do you think anyone in their right mind be it a Conservative or not would vote for Boris Johnson just based based on if they like them or not? No, they do not vote on whether they like him or not they vote on for him because of his policies which enrich the richer.

Now to Corbyn do his party policies are to consider the poor, I honestly can’t believe anyone who claims to be form Liverpool would even make that comment.

...like lots of others on here I voted Labour, but I‘ve been critical of this Labour Party for a very long time. Sadly, the bullying and harassment of those Labour MPs who don’t worship Corbyn is evident in this thread tonight.

Labour needs to change.

All of them need to change i think...

From the outside looking in, no leader or team who i would go for...you need a really strong front bench.

134,000 dead in the last ten years due to austerity and this Tory government.

The promise of hope and desire to help others is lost on so many right now. Our day will come.

God knows what state the country will be in by the time that comes. Make no mistake, there are vultures absolutely licking their lips at this result tonight. They are going to make an absolute killing over the next 5 years at the expense of the most vulnerable.

Yeh, correct, simple answer. Surely Labour must have been acutely aware of its impact and tried best to wrangle people back regarding it.
Labour must have thought they could replace their brexit voters with remain ones, but there are a hell of a lot of Tory remainers out that that have still voted a Tory brexit.

I find it amusing that a poster can call a large portion of the country "scum" because of who they voted for...

Theres a thread on prague you could introduce them to.
Feck off lad

Just go away lad...you have no fecking idea....or a say. Come to Liverpool and start spouting your right wing views face to face

I think Labour proposing yet another referendum after country had already spoken just really miffed a lot of people.
Really don't underestimate Brexit and immigration, I have been taken back a number of conversation recently with people who I would identify as liberal environmentalists, who see immigration as a huge issue, purely on the house build...
