Which was picked up by a troll account and reported in that well known influencer of British opinion ‘The Jersulam Post’.

It’s fairly easy to see why that publication has issues with Corbyn. Rather than ignore it as the views of a nationalist mouth piece thousands of miles from home the Corbyn fan club on Twitter got angry and made a huge deal of it, which then gave more fuel for those seeking to knock him.

It’s a total non-event that’s been elevated on Social Media by people feeling they need to defend everything bad said about him. Would have been far better to ignore it.

Except of course that it isn't just the Jerusalem Post, or social media

and renowned anti-racism champion the S*n as well, obviously

nice effort though

It appeared about 10 minutes after the debate ended in TJP. As if they were waiting for a slip. It was widely flung round on social media by people crying about how it was unfair. Then because the media is so lazy all it does is report on what’s happening on twitter nowadays we ended up with this.

I’m not sure what effort I’ve made apart from saying ‘hey, maybe people shouldn’t rise to obvious bait’ but still, the media’s getting to take the easy option of discussing a total non issue, again, rather than, say, actually start holding politicians to account. All because some people on Twitter got upset because someone said something they don’t like.

Time for channel 4 to have a serious word about that.

I suspect they’re worried about sexism or anti Semitic accusations as she loves to play the victim.

That’s a genuinely disgusting t-shirt and action should be taken.

I agree, it is true that the media is mostly lazy partisan garbage these days - and this is also the exact point that many Labour supporters have been making since at least 2015.

And now, the excuse for a human being called Pritti Patel is saying that foodbanks are not the result of her government's policies......while standing in a foodbank!!:rant:
41k food parcels given out in 2010 when the Tories came to power, 1.6m given out last year.

Every charity at the front line giving them out will tell you Universal Credit, zero hours contracts and austerity imposed by the current government have directly been responsible for the disgusting rise in foodbank use under the Tories.

How can anyone who cares about people and sees what they've done to the vulnerable in our society ever vote Tory?

People who don´t experience it themselves often refuse to believe it exists. Plus the fact we have a media that isn´t fit for purpose when it comes to highlighting these issues. They´d rather bang the nationalist Brexit drum to make people even poorer.

Why are the Tories so obsessed with getting Corbyn to say if he's for or against Brexit, what does it matter.

All that matters is those who govern carry out the will of the people, which is what Corbyn is saying albeit after a 2nd Referendum.

The previous PM campaigned against Brexit then had to try implement it.

Because Corbyn doesn’t want to publicly declare his position so as not to alienate labour leave or remain voters either way, so he won’t answer the question directly.

So it’s an open goal for the Tories to keep asking, as the “optics” of someone refusing to answer a direct question is powerful.

This is why Corbyn needs a better answer, to avoid getting driven into the ground on this point.

Because they're chasing seats such as Grimsby, which have always been Labour, but who voted heavily to leave and for whom little love is lost for Corbyn.
