"According to the Press Association, Johnson smoothed cement and laid a few bricks on a metre-high wall at a new home at the Willow Grove estate in Bedford. He remarked that his efforts were “not bad”, before looking back on his work and adding: “Kind of.” The results of Johnson the brickie.

Just finished reading the Labour manifesto, which strikes me as far reaching and laudable in its aims. In some respects, it could be argued that the social and material fabric of the country is not a million miles away from '45 and requires the same input from the state in order to rectify matters. I don't believe that Corbyn is the sharpest tool in the box and the same could be said of half a dozen others in his leading group, notably the excruciating Richard Burgon. I hope the others will bring greater mental acuity to what will be a huge task should they win.
Will they win? I believe that the critical issue for the swing voted will be credibility. It's a manifesto which could very easily be labelled, "Lollipops for all" so they need to emphasise that they're aware of both the magnitude of the task and the sheer hard work they will face to achieve their goals.

Excellent post and I totally agree with most of it. If I tried to write that, it would be a right mess.

No one cares about the "anti-semitism issue". It wont persuade one person to vote either way.
I suspect you are correct as regards non Jewish people. However I also suspect people of the Jewish faith will care. Whether there are enough Jewish people of voting age in the UK to make a significant difference to the outcome of the general election is another matter. I don't know enough about the breakdown of the electorate to make any statement one way or the other, but it isn't beyond the realms of possibility that one or more marginal seats may be won/lost over the issue.

Dont be hoodwinked into believing all British Jews subscribe to the outrageous opinions of the apartheid supporting Jewish Chronicle and their ilk.

More than a slight lean to the right there

He right though.
He could well be which is why I said OK. I really don't know enough about the issue and I regret making that post as it shows my ignorance on the matter.

I just automatically assumed that Jewish people would not take kindly to anti Jewish behaviour. My bad. I ought to know by now that you shouldn't make comments in this forum unless you have chapter and verse to back you up.:)
