No I wouldn't press the button, why should we use what we spend billions upon billions on that could fund God knows what improvements elsewhere if you have no intention of using.

The fact is it's a deterrent that you should never have to use because it is a deterrent. By publically saying you won't use it takes away its point, even if deep down you know you probably wouldn't unless it was a retaliatory strike for a nuclear attack on these shores.
