Because both parties are having a contest to see how much they can saturate the public. I notice that Labour still haven’t shared their grand idea on how they plan to generate £6bn in tax from internet companies, equivalent to £1200 per user in the UK, which apparently was coming out over last weekend...

So as much as the Tories pretend they aren’t damaging the country, it’s hard to get behind a party that has such distain for voters that want to know things like ‘where is the money coming from? Will this impact my future?’

Maybe it comes from the same place the money for Tory spending plans comes from, while lowering taxes, leaving on a (potential No deal next year) Brexit whilst the national debt is around double when they inherited it?

...ha, ha, they need to be clever and continually make the points. Don’t blame the media, exploit it. NHS stats, child poverty, food banks, Johnson and ERG delaying May Brexit, Prorogation (all of them making Churchillian speeches during the leadership contest then supporting it when it happened).

I think Labour are daft when it comes to strategy, there’s so much ammunition for them to exploit.

I watched sections of the debate last night and to be fair I felt Corbyn won narrowly (if I was being subjective I'd say he hammered Johnson). You are right though, there needs to be far more pivoting to the Tories record. They only want to talk about Brexit. They want to blame a hung Parliament (which they caused through calling a needless election in 2017 and then suspending 20+ of their own MPs) yet they have been in power for 9 years. There ought to be no excuses and Corbyn needs to make that point more clearly on the next election. He will put Johnson massively on the back foot if he does.

As others have said, these are the kind of things that need challenging in these debates and in the media. As much as the Tories can pretend the reverse on corporate rates cut is to pay for these giveaways, it's totally clear its to help 'fund' Brexit.

The politics of this country is a total sh*tshow if we are honest. Both parties are in lala-land and the Conservatives manage to edge it by default. If this is another Labour loss then there needs to be massive changes, McDonnell and his ilk need removing from policy making posts.

Its now 2-2 in the “candidates forced to step down because of comments about the Jews” stakes:

The Tories may be favourites though as the guy going through their social media history is only up to L so far (he’s doing it alphabetically by constituency name).

I see McDonnell has gone further today with all companies employing over 250 having to put in 1% chunks of share into an employee pot that then builds to a max of 10%. So too right I can hear you say, but what about the poor schmucks who work in companies of less than 250, do they get nothing ?, If a company employs 260, why would they not just sack 11 ? He’s said that companies bidding for government contracts cannot pay a CEO more than £350k, or the same as the weekly wage of a footballer. These companies sometimes employ tens of thousands and the guy at the top is responsible for £Billions.....what planet are these people on ?......
Daily Mail 'Corbyn Smashes Small Businesses'...little at at time is best.
