It doesn't matter though. I mean that appalls us, but you look at Trump and absolutely none of his numerous indiscretions and un-statesmanlike behaviour have made the slightest dent in support from his base. They don't mind that he lies and cheats, because they believe he's lying and cheating on their behalf.
It’s pretty sad to be honest. I consider myself a fairly staunch labour supporter, but if the leader of the party was a man without principles, a habitual liar, a philanderer, a man who has never had to want for anything, I wouldn’t be able to support them.
Any support for this man is not only a support for his policies but it’s also an approval of his principles and behaviour. It says to people that by cheating and lying you can make it to the top.

Farage couldn't find time or resources to locate and vet 650 viable candidates for the Brexit Party. If he had put candidates up he would have been inundated with individuals that had numerous skeletons in the cupboard that would have come out throughout the election campaigne, undermining Farage's future employment opportunities.

Oddly this hasn't stopped the Labour Party consistently putting some utter wrong'uns up for council and parliamentary seats over the last three years.

Angela Rayner at it again this morning talking knighthoods for Cowardly Nige. Why tf is Labour getting drawn into this politics of fear, bogeyman rubbish. Even talks about stopping hiring these "off the shelf forens" instead of "retraining British".

Big Jez, microphone, positive talking, 50,000+ crowd of people. That's what is needed.

Sorry mate but momentum had no part in his selection......that accusation was from ages ago and is now being used against him. if he did say that then he has changed his attitude over the last few years...is that not permissible? He has stood along with Dave Kelly our own wellknown fan to support initiatives such as both sets of fans collecting for foodbanks, amongst others. Tell you what mate I would rather my local MP be an ex shop steward /union representative than a gravy train riding seat for life incumbent.

What exactly is the problem with an MP being an ex shop steward out of interest?

Fascinating listen on BBC R5L, from Bishop Auckland, a spiritual home of Brexit... It rarely got mentioned, General Election is what it should always be, general people are angry about their communities, their schools their hospitals just being disconnected and left behind for the last 10 15 20 etc. This Election will be won on anything but Brexit.

Oh I know, you only have to listen to the boot licking praise that the likes of Pete make towards Johnson to know that it won't make a difference to him, but it's the swing voters that it makes a difference to.

He's complete unfit for public office.

Large scale cyber attack on Labour, someone doesn't want a 2nd referendum...

We are teetering on the edge of a situation where democracy doesn't work. Democracy is great when the political choice is two shades of bland. When faced with two opposing ideologies without a clear majority then our system of democracy struggles, we need the losing side to agree to be governed.
Add in the issue of political leaders who lack the ability to lead and we find ourselves in the trouble we are in. Unless a new politician emerges who can lead and who can bring the opposing sides together I only see more problems. I can see Scotland leaving the United Kingdom, I can see violence once agin on the streets of Northern Ireland and then a United Ireland with England and Wales becoming more and more right wing and eventually becoming little USA.
Hopefully there is a group of politicians working away trying to look for a solution for the country and not just one for themselves.

That disconnect is why...rightly or wrongly, they voted brexit.
Brexit won't win the election for individuals or parties...there are too many of both shades in all parties.
But brexit or the lack of it could lose it for Individuals...and that could have a knock on effect at national level
