1. We need to fill out the squad. Wages are one reason why we tend to have only about 16 seniors but we need more strength in depth. We definitely need at least another striker and a flair option from the bench.
2. Moyes has to start making use of Barkley, Duffy and Vellios. I think the latter two will give it one more season before they think about moving on for regular football. We have to give them a chance to prove that they can handle playing for Everton.
3. Neville and Distin raise the average age considerably, but it could still do with coming down.
4. We need a plan b. The same players in the same formation week in week out is too predictable. Even our own side must feel under-stimulated with it.
5. We need to get 'street-wise'. We're too much of a soft touch for teams willing to use every trick in the book to win.

I think people are going to get a shock when they see how much money clubs are actually prepared to pay for Fellaini.

I said before he wouldnt suit any of the teams above us as they dont play long ball, could have a peter odwmeinge situation on our hands

2 of our players are worth over 10m fellaini and baines (who will never leave so his price is irrelevent)

Mirallas is comfortably worth £10m I think.

I think most teams would look to play him in the DM/CM postion rather than the AM postion, which lets face it, he has been massively found out at.

I'm not sure Chelsea buy players depending on their needs to be honest , they did make a strong enquiry in the window but the arrival of mourinho may put paid for that I suppose .

He already has a 'Cahill-in-his-prime' goal return through playing in that position, and there are still two months of football to play. He's scored the same amount of goals as Rooney, Cazorla and Benteke.

I still think he is massively overrated though, especially in midfield. However he's clearly an upgrade on some of the crap that have been playing in CM recently.

How many of those goals would he have scored playing further back and making runs into the box tho?

I would like to find out because he should have been called back to CM months ago, or at least on the occasions in which Neville and Osman were paired together.

I think what Fellainis goals cement is that anyone playing in that role will have the opportunity to score goals, the way we play. Cahill done if for years. But also worked a lot harder for the striker. Something which Jelavic has lacked. I feel sincerely sorry for Jelavic this season. He's missed some sitters but he's worked his backside off to accommodate Fellaini.
