You need to have something to protest against first, the manager having a fat head isn't enough, if by Christmass we are looking a right mess then yeah let's do it, but if that's the case Sam will be sacked anyway, until Sam fails or shows he is taking us backwards there is nothing to protest about
What's a "right mess"? Would another £100m spent and sitting in 9th 15 points off 4th be good enough? That would represent progress from this year but a decline from the year before. Where would you set your benchmarks?

There was plenty to protest about from about 7/8 games of Sam's reign in... Some people don't want another year of looking a right mess, we'll just end up getting further and further behind, and finding it more and more difficult to attract the right candidate.

And yet many people are against protesting etc because it's too 'kopite'!

I’ve said it many times mate, we’re an easy bunch to please. When things are going tits up we’re all fuming on the forums, we should do this, we should do that, then we win a game and everything is rosey in the garden again, fans (who were previously fuming) start kicking off at fans who are still having a pop at Moshiri, Allardyce etc, then it starts going tits up again, and it’s a case of rinse and repeat.

Those lads are right who say part of the problem is that some of our fans are happy to just tow the party line, and live up to the ‘good old little Everton’ image.

There is. I’m protesting by not attending that this hoof ball merchant is only good to keep us up. You really think he’s going to take us forward? Give your head a wobble. He shouldn’t be manager of Everton football club and soon as the season ends he’s shown the door the better.

If he does know that the majority of fans want him gone (and, to be fair, how do you know they do?) why would he give a flying fig if he doesn't agree?

You only have to look at the polls on the forums (I know they don’t represent the whole fan base) all have over 90% of fans wanting him gone. At the games, in the pubs before the games, all you hear is Allardyce being slated to death and wanting him gone. Where my season ticket is at Goodison I speak to loads of lads around me, and I’ve yet to hear anyone say Allardyce should be given another season. Now I now it’s all conjecture, but going off that I would put my house on the majority of fans wanting him gone.

The other thing is as I said, Moshiri may not care what fans think, and we are an easy bunch to please, but that could all easily change.

Sam Allardyce alone is the reason to protest. Why allow the club to take the cowardly decision to stick by him and leave us in a mid season mess for the second season running? If they stick with Sam the outcome is inevitable. We can't succeed. He will flop. Yet you want people to wait until another season is ruined before the fans are allowed to voice Concern? Bizarre...

I think the key to Big Sam's future is identification of the next Manager . Moshiri sure wont embarrass himself again by appointing another high profile manager this summer only to fire him again by dec 2018 . If Everton do not find the suitable long term candidate this window , I think we may stick with Sam for one more year .... I dont think we will do the mistake of appointing a "world class " manager again . So no to Emerys of this world who come from CL giant Teams . Also i dont think we will take the risk of giving the job to a new guy like Arteta . So we need to find a young aspiring manager who has shown signs of promise .MArco Silva is the only name which Springs to my mind ...

Problem with Silva is that although he improved Hull they still went down, and he's obviously proved that if he got us in a good position by Xmas and a big club came knocking he'd down tools.

Whether he stays or goes, the playing squad needs ripping apart and starting again. I'm not expecting miracles next season of whomever is in charge.

We tried that last year and we all saw how that panned out. We need iterative change imo not a slash and burn approach. Four new players, five at the outside with six or seven leaving seems about right to me.

I do agree with you but I want a lot of them gone, but realistically yes, you are probably right.
