The Farhad Moshiri interview

Yes you are, you want to keep all the deadwood in our squad because otherwise we may have a smaller net spend

If you're this concerned then do something about it, start a protest and let the voices of all these Evertonians be heard.

I'll wait with anticipation.

You're basically arguing that without Moshiri, we'd struggle paying the cash for players we've currently bought.

As things currently stand Everton football club would of still made all those signings with our previous majority shareholder Kenwright.

Moshiri, as we all do in this current market know the value of players. He's simply replenishing players sold with the same cash.

In my opinion, in this current market, the window he goes out and lashes 100- 150 million on players without dipping into the money that was brought in from player sales, is the day I will admit I was wrong about this fella. That will also be the window where I will start to believe we'll challenge.

As things stand currently, you're wrong about this liar. He's chatted bollocks since day 1 and people are seeing it now.

Our wage bill has gone dramatically up though mate. You're not factoring that in. I guarantee it's about right for where we finished in the league as well. If the rest of the league below us had a higher wage structure than us, I'd be very concerned.

I'm not saying you might not have a point, I'm just saying between my previous post and this, I don't know that we can make that judgement yet.

Ok lid!!! Did you include the 35 mil that mosh was due to get last night after agreement with chelsea like i stated above. You also failed to include moshs promise to invest in the team. If he got his agreed 35 last night he would be making a profit no? A profit after 3 windows. Great squad investment there. Maybe your content for everton to remain outside top 6. I am not and believe this lad has not delievered on his promises to drive us to champions league challengers. We are further away now than this time last year. If you doubt that then correct me when i say we will be outside top 6 not to mind challenging for top 4 next may.

Is Ross Barkley an Everton player? Yes. That's that argument boxed off. Unless I can include the £35m we bid for Jiminez, but I won't because he's still a benfica player.

And how can spending £120m on new 8 new players make a team weaker. I'm more than happy to have a bet over us finishing in the top 6 if you wish?

I'm rather concerned that the polarised statements being expressed on here are rather embarrassing and hurtful.

Should we not now cease this endless hand-wringing and get on with supporting the club we are supposed to love?

Thank you.

I doubt it would be a profit even if the net spend balanced out or was negative. You have to take into account the increase in wages, what we have spent on Goodison, what we are spending planning on the new stadium, the players we have signed for the youth/ladies teams, compensation to Martinez/Southampton and he is saving us at least 5 million on interest payments. If you get all that info and can see that millions are being diverted from the club back into Moshiri's pocket then you would have a point, without that you are just speculating.

Ridiculous comment really since our money was already spent regardless Barkley going or not... so clearly Barkley leaving wasn't a requirement for us to spend money. We don't know what happens if the Barkley transfer goes through yesterday, we might have spent another £30m, so pointless to talk about really.

Ha ha

By the time Barkley's treadmill stopped working, it was around 9/10 pm UK time.

Just so happens that also around that time rumours of Raul Jimenez were surfacing. How much ? Yep it was quoted as 35 million, exactly what we were getting for Barkley. It's absolutely laughable.

Barkley jumped off his treadmill, Jimenez pilot did a U turn near John Lennon. Pathetic.

McCarthy/Mirallas being sold in January would then equalize the expenditure/incoming.

Nothing has changed. As said.... the difference is that with Moshiri, we've now got some comfort in that we can wait until the next window before recouping the millions paid.

Moshiri. File him next to kenwright/Johnson in the Utter bollocks cabinet.

No I'm not, not once have I said that. I'm a realist so go look through all my posts on Moshiri.

He was never here to be a cash cow and throw money at us, anyone who believed that from the start was a deluded fool.

He's a businessman who sole job is to restructure the business and drive it forward so it can stand on its own 2 feet. Ensuring all possible sources of revenue are exploited and we get our cut of the massive money pie.

If your upset because you had this grand idea that he was personally launching hundred of millions of his own cash, to rival PSG/city/chelsea, then that's your issue and you need to deal with that. Lashing out at others who had a better understanding of the scenario is pretty fruitless

Lets swap bank account codes. You first;). Na honestly i dont think we can get near top 6 without a 20 goal a season front man. A lad who can score against and be the difference between us and the current top 6. Rem we have thursday night footie. Takes it toll on players like last week. Injuries will increase. This cannot be used as an excuse come may by our club. Investment in 2/3 more top players was need to push for top 6.

Ha ha brilliant.

I'm not surprised though. You said yesterday that you were very happy Everton didn't bring in another striker. Very happy with our business.

Im going on the simple buy spend first team squad. Not including the expenditure of the ladies team the millions upon millions we receive from tv.

Late to this, but reading through, you seem convinced that we didnt sign this Jimenez fella cos Ross wet his pants passing the M25.

Remind me; who did we sell to lob £45m at Swansea? Cos by my reckoning, Roms wedge was spent 5 weeks before that.
