So, if a woman were to be in a situation in which she finds herself wanting an abortion - but also happened to be working class, and thus unable to afford said abortion - what should happen then?
Well if there are enough people in the US who want abortion on demand, then surely they should be able to set up a charity (lets call it "Planned Parenthood") to raise the money from people who want to donate to enable this. Personally I don't have any strong opinion on abortion except that it does seem to be morally wrong to use it as a means of birth control when there are so many forms of actual birth control available. And when there is an movement called "Black Lives Matter" which is happy that, apparently, so many of them don't!

I'm struggling to join the dots between campaigning against police brutality and reproductive rights here.

Falls under religious hatred rather than racism, which both fall under the larger umbrella of bigotry, which is the better catch-all term for it.

The term 'racism' has been so dominant in public discourse that the confusion between labelling is only natural, especially when you mix in things like ethnicity and nationality as well.
The problem we have is that now anybody saying anything which "may" offend somebody/anybody is deemed to be illegal/immoral/will make you fat. We have reached the stage where if you "mis-gender" someone you can be arrested for hate speech.

Sorry, it took a few moments to understand where the "police brutality" came in there. So BLM is an organisation based on the opinion the the US police are deliberately killing innocent blacks, but which is quite happy having an organisation (Planned Parenthood) deliberately killing innocent blacks who haven't actually had the chance to be born. And saying "reproductive rights" is a bit of a misnomer when talking about abortion isn't it? But anyway I don't have a dog in the fight, I'm just stating my opinion. It's just a shame that the politicians have to make this such a party/political issue instead of sorting it out in an adult manner. But we're talking about politicians aren't we?

I should make myself clear.

I don't like abortion.

But I don't like the idea of taking away the rights of women to make that decision even more.

Liberty, mate.

But they are not making abortion illegal, they just don't want the taxpayer to be forced to pay for it. Subtle difference maybe, but you have to respect the rights of people on both sides of the argument. As I said, if there are so many people who want abortion to be available on demand then they should raise the money for it themselves, but not expect those on the other side to contribute to it.

Plenty of people don't want to fund overseas wars, but it doesn't work like that mate.

But it's the government (elected by the people) who decide whether to fund overseas wars and abortion on demand, so it does work like that "mate". A previous government in the US decided to fund abortion on demand, the present government has decided (actually I don't know if they have or not) not to, a future government may decide to do so "mate".
I'm not being off or anything, but my name's Kevin not "mate";)
