So really we should shut down the "Fears of a witch hunt" thread on this forum because of all the abuse hurled towards that loveable race called "Kopite"? Or denounce anyone who calls Newcastle supporters "Horse punchers"? People should not be allowed to abuse Tories, Trump supporters, the French or any other social group because it's "Racist"?

No.
No.
No.
No.
Yes.

I'll answer your question, provided you answer a couple from me:
  • Do you believe that Tommy Robinson was unfairly imprisoned?
  • Do you believe that there's a conspiracy to undermine white men?
Tommy Robinson set himself up for a fall by his actions, but the appeal court judge said the process of his arrest and conviction was flawed so he was released. I don't know enough about the law to say anything helpful. What's your opinion?

You seem fairly reasonable.
  • As much as I hate institutionalist forms of religion, I don't equate it to what team you support. As much as I love Everton FC, it doesn't guide me through life and it's not something that I believe will give reason to the afterlife.
  • If Newcastle United supporters didn't want to be called "horse punchers", then they shouldn't be punching horses. In seriousness, the same point as the previous.
  • Conservatism is a political ideology. I don't believe that you should 'abuse' Tories, but we do live in a democracy and we should be able to call them out.
  • Hardline Trump supporters are of the class of people that believe in eugenics. Appeasement with these people doesn't work.
  • The reason I so Yes to the french is because the patter is 'well bad'.

So it depends on your own personal opinion about which social grouping can be called a race (and be subject to "Racial Abuse") and which ones are fair game because you don't like them. Seems a bit strange to be honest as anyone could take your criteria and say that, in their opinion, Islam or (insert your chosen social group here) isn't a race and so cannot be racially abused. There is a body of opinion that says that some racial groups can't be racist because reasons. Islam is often considered to be a political ideology also. There's a difference between calling the political parties out for their policies and unthinking abuse just because you don't support them.
I thought that the Trump supporters were the ones against the wholesale slaughter of unborn blacks .
It's a minefield out there :(.

Do you consider anti Semitic abuse to be racist?

I'll reason with you a bit, I'm not a huge supporter of abortion - but I don't believe it's my place to tell a woman what they can and cannot do with their bodies.

It's that belief that provides the logical argument toward allowing women to wear as little or as much as they want to.

No, just abhorrent the same as abuse of anyone for no reason. Maybe I'm strange, but I don't actually hate anybody and certainly wouldn't abuse anybody because I disagreed with their lifestyle or beliefs. There are certain people I dislike very much, but only because of things that they have done towards me, and the feeling is certainly mutual.

The abortion debate in the US isn't anything to do with telling women what to do with their bodies, it's forcing people who don't believe that abortion is right to pay, through their taxes, to enable wholesale abortion.

So, if a woman were to be in a situation in which she finds herself wanting an abortion - but also happened to be working class, and thus unable to afford said abortion - what should happen then?

Fair enough. My opinion is that the ‘Muslims aren’t a race therefore what we say to abuse them can’t be racist’ argument is often used by well, errrmmm racists, and is little more than semantics. Not aimed at you btw, as you’ve qualified your opinion.

Falls under religious hatred rather than racism, which both fall under the larger umbrella of bigotry, which is the better catch-all term for it.

The term 'racism' has been so dominant in public discourse that the confusion between labelling is only natural, especially when you mix in things like ethnicity and nationality as well.
