Cretins.

I'm a believer of @Number_25's culture war theory, all the elements are there.
The owner of the bookshop has wasted no time in getting an alarmist article published:
When the far right targets books, it should ring alarm bells for us all
Referencing predictably Nazi book burnings of the 1930's.
And in the red corner you've got the other side posting things like this:
View attachment 48593
See this for context:
Add all the other factors like Tommy Robinson, Alex Jones, Ocasio-Cortez, no-platforms and a myriad other people & issues, not least Trump, Brexit & immigration...two sides, battle-lines drawn, each convinced of their position, every new outrage moment makes each side dig their heels in deeper.
The bookshop owner is right to feel miffed at the cretins who harrassed his shop, it's just interesting that the way he's shown this is by partaking in this culture war.
I wonder how significant all this really is, maybe it's not all that, just the internet amplifying everything. Or maybe it's all building up into actual conflict.
Have we seen nothing yet?

The guardian article was rather hyperbolic and gives them too much credibility. Why not mention they were clueless, fairly obviously directed, chanting for Trump, wearing mgbga stuff, and that three were members of ukip, one of its NEC? Didn't a woman go in there too?
Again, I think our priority is to find out who's ultimately mobilising these whoppers, and I'm fairly certain we'll find it's a USArian.
And possibly another country too, all out of order imo, and should be dealt with seriously. If not the actual USA.
The spin in our media, or rather, the way they try to enframe facts to suit their agenda is absolutely abhorrentThe BBC calling the attack on the bookshop a 'protest'.

I heard or read something the other day saying that it’s all well and good wanting to present both sides in a bid to be reasonable but if one side is flat wrong then the position is flawed.
I find that reporting above troubling to be honest with you but also I think it’s difficult for the likes of the bbc to walk the line . If you’re them What word do you use because attack would i’m Sure be criticised although protest just feels highly inappropriate.
I thought the attack, I’m happy using it , was both pathetic but also deeply worrying but I can have a modicum of sympathy to the wording . That doesn’t mean I think it shouldn’t be a significantly more critical article .
Mobbed?I heard or read something the other day saying that it’s all well and good wanting to present both sides in a bid to be reasonable but if one side is flat wrong then the position is flawed.
