Most of them spend their time abusing women who actually help victims of rape including child victims of rape. They harbour loads of nonces themselves. It's a bit of an open goal for them though so they will persist with it a bit, and unfortunately some good people will be impressed by their stance and think it's a positive thing, because the government/state don't take sexual violence seriously.

Tommy Robinson has spent time in prison for battering a former partner. He also uses sexualised language about children (referring to children under 18 as "sluts") so you'll have to forgive me in taking lectures on child exploitation from him. As you said though, it's not about that.
Yeah, that's why I don't trust these guys when it comes to defending rape survivors. They'll accuse anyone against them of supporting child rape, but the thing is, they're selective - they'll defend white rapists (Katie Hopkins defended Roy Moore and basically implied teenage girls are a bunch of sluts, yet got outraged at Asian gangs) but get outraged about Asian ones. If you rape and abuse kids, you are scum, no matter what colour you are or what god you believe in. I'm Jewish, the charedi community has major problems with child sexual abuse, I know full well my own religion is just as bad.

I also know women who've had rape threats from EDL supporters. Really makes me feel safe, that.

I wish more people on the left did talk about rape gangs and the toxic attitude that a lot of Pakistani guys have towards women, because it is a problem. And the evil radfems, the TERFs that Big Nev hates, are sadly often the only ones who are. It's not racist to criticise toxic macho cultures, IMO.

In funnier news, a load of kopites found a London kopite who supported the FLA and are ripping the pee out of him on Twitter. This is one of the only times I will ever approve of anything that lot have done.

Yep good post that and agree all ways round. There isn't enough of an understanding of the structural factors that lead to child sexual abuse, and in honesty people aren't willing to really engage with how deeply routed it is into mainstream society. I saw Gail Dines say that in many ways porn cis a major contributor to this and I tend to agree, but it's never part of the discussion.

It crosses pretty much every cultural group, so we can either view it as a male problem (which apparently is bang out of order) or an Asian problem. Whichever way people want to twist statistics it is an overwhelmingly male issue, and as men we should be talking more about it.

The left have completely failed on this issue. It's in no small part what has led to the right being able to eek out a space for themselves, and in spite of fairly glaring inconsistencies present a narrative to a layer of working class people who see a state, and more broadly society not caring a jot a for them and their children (predominately girls) but are provided a set of answers that are currently more coherent from a bunch of largely abusive, right wing thugs than a bunch of lefties who are so up their own backside they have forgotten to listen to women. I say that as someone on the left who has tried and will continue to to challenge the narrative, but we are fighting with one hand behind our back currently because of lots of entitled, middle class, university educated buffoons want to re-enact their vision of the red squad by terrorising old women.

Big Nev is a hero to me, for what he did for Everton but also what he's done after it. The work he's dedicated to helping kids who have been discarded by an increasingly cruel education system is fantastic, as is much of his commitment to a fairer world. However you are absolutely right on the terf/swerf nonsense he has succumbed too. I have tried to question him a bit on it on twitter, but it has got quite nasty and it's difficult. It's a real shame though, I'm not sure he fully understands the ramifications of what he's saying, and though his heart is in the right place and he means well he's reproducing ideas that will hold us back.

One group he let on to his page for example (SWARM) who proclaim to be the voice of all sex "workers" had a chart up of ideas and people who cause stigma for such women. They had groups of women who were trafficked and escaped the industry as one of these groups (as they call for abolition). The idea, that trafficked women, who would have often started as children coming together to tell their experiences are supposedly part of the problem underpins the Kafkaesque world we live in.

As you say, the Free Tommy lot (there seem to be a lot of southern kopites in amongst them I have to say) don't even understand these nuances, so have no hope of articulating them, but I suppose for women and girls in those communities the idea of some knucklehead threatening to attack some (asian) nonces (while of course ignoring or even celebrating the nonces amidst their own ranks) has some appeal when supposedly progressive people have completely left the terrain of VAWG as any sort of priority. The answer would be to stop doing that, but that would mean telling your Tarquins they can't bash granny's while claiming victimhood against the fash, so that idea won't catch on currently.

These seem like a nice group of lads.

An alleged member of banned far-right group National Action has admitted planning to murder MP Rosie Cooper.

Jack Renshaw, 23, of Skelmersdale, Lancashire, pleaded guilty to preparing an act of terrorism by buying a machete with the intention of killing the Labour MP for West Lancashire.

He is among six men who deny being members of a proscribed organisation.

The Old Bailey jury was told National Action was a "neo-Nazi group" which in 2016 supported the murder of MP Jo Cox.

Renshaw has also admitted making a threat to kill police officer Victoria Henderson.

He had previously denied the two charges, but changed his pleas on the first day of his trial.

The other men on trial are: Matthew Hankinson, 24, from Newton-le-Willows, Merseyside; Andrew Clarke, 33, from Prescot, Merseyside; Christopher Lythgoe, 32, and Michal Trubini, 35, both from Warrington, and Garron Helm, 24, from Seaforth, Merseyside.

Mr Lythgoe also denies encouragement to murder by allegedly giving Renshaw permission to murder Ms Cooper on behalf of the group.

'Real target'
Duncan Atkinson QC, opening the case for the prosecution, said the defendants were "not being prosecuted for their racist or neo-Nazi beliefs, however repulsive they may be, but for their participation in a banned organisation that sought actively through fear, intimidation and the threat of violence rather than through free speech and democracy to shape society".

He told the court Renshaw was preparing to undertake a "politically and racially motivated murder", for which he had sought the "blessing" of Mr Lythgoe.

Mr Lythgoe, the prosecutor said, was effectively the national leader of National Action and that "nothing significant" happened without his approval.

Mr Atkinson said Renshaw's objective was not only to make a political point, but to revenge himself on those he considered to be persecuting him, namely Lancashire Police in general and Det Con Henderson in particular.

Renshaw had told a National Action meeting in July 2017 that after killing Rosie Cooper, he would take hostages, demand that DC Henderson come to the scene, the prosecution claimed.

"His plan then would be to kill that officer who was, he said, his real target," Mr Atkinson told the court.

Jurors heard Renshaw had been arrested in January 2017 on suspicion of stirring up racial hatred in relation to two anti-Semitic speeches he had given.

He was interviewed by DC Henderson and another officer and then for a second time after analysis of a seized mobile phone "revealed what the police considered to be evidence of child sex offences or grooming".

'Disenchanted former member'
The prosecution said National Action had engaged in a "campaign of virulent anti-Semitic and homophobic propaganda" since 2013.

It was formally proscribed in December 2016, but the defendants' active participation in the organisation did not stop with the ban, Mr Atkinson said.

Jurors were told that - just before the group was banned - Mr Lythgoe sent an email to others members saying: "Long term we'll keep moving forward just as we have been" - and the next day he wrote: "We are just shedding one skin for another".

Mr Atkinson said evidence in the case would come from a "disenchanted" former member.

He said Robbie Mullen was a member of National Action before the ban, but became increasingly disenchanted with the organisation to the extent that he began speaking to an organisation called Hope not Hate, which seeks to combat extreme right-wing political racism.

Quasi-patriots , they rant and rave about law and order and protecting the country but the vast majority don’t have anything like the balls to serve nor the self awareness to see the irony in them kicking off at the police .

Shameful fascist thugs whipped into a frenzy by halfwits on the internet and tabloid editors who manipulate them and complain about the breakdown of British society . They genuinely turn my stomach .

To grasp what is going on in the world right now, we need to reflect on two things. One is that we are in a phase of trial runs. The other is that what is being trialled is fascism – a word that should be used carefully but not shirked when it is so clearly on the horizon. Forget “post-fascist” – what we are living with is pre-fascism.
It is easy to dismiss Donald Trump as an ignoramus, not least because he is. But he has an acute understanding of one thing: test marketing. He created himself in the gossip pages of the New York tabloids, where celebrity is manufactured by planting outrageous stories that you can later confirm or deny depending on how they go down. And he recreated himself in reality TV where the storylines can be adjusted according to the ratings. Put something out there, pull it back, adjust, go again.
Fascism doesn’t arise suddenly in an existing democracy. It is not easy to get people to give up their ideas of freedom and civility. You have to do trial runs that, if they are done well, serve two purposes. They get people used to something they may initially recoil from; and they allow you to refine and calibrate. This is what is happening now and we would be fools not to see it.
One of the basic tools of fascism is the rigging of elections – we’ve seen that trialled in the election of Trump, in the Brexit referendum and (less successfully) in the French presidential elections. Another is the generation of tribal identities, the division of society into mutually exclusive polarities. Fascism does not need a majority – it typically comes to power with about 40 per cent support and then uses control and intimidation to consolidate that power. So it doesn’t matter if most people hate you, as long as your 40 per cent is fanatically committed. That’s been tested out too. And fascism of course needs a propaganda machine so effective that it creates for its followers a universe of “alternative facts” impervious to unwanted realities. Again, the testing for this is very far advanced.

Moral boundaries
But when you’ve done all this, there is a crucial next step, usually the trickiest of all. You have to undermine moral boundaries, inure people to the acceptance of acts of extreme cruelty. Like hounds, people have to be blooded. They have to be given the taste for savagery. Fascism does this by building up the sense of threat from a despised out-group. This allows the members of that group to be dehumanised. Once that has been achieved, you can gradually up the ante, working through the stages from breaking windows to extermination.

It is this next step that is being test-marketed now. It is being done in Italy by the far-right leader and minister for the interior Matteo Salvini. How would it go down if we turn away boatloads of refugees? Let’s do a screening of the rough-cut of registering all the Roma and see what buttons the audience will press. And it has been trialled by Trump: let’s see how my fans feel about crying babies in cages. I wonder how it will go down with Rupert Murdoch.

To see, as most commentary has done, the deliberate traumatisation of migrant children as a “mistake” by Trump is culpable naivety. It is a trial run – and the trial has been a huge success. Trump’s claim last week that immigrants “infest” the US is a test-marketing of whether his fans are ready for the next step-up in language, which is of course “vermin”. And the generation of images of toddlers being dragged from their parents is a test of whether those words can be turned into sounds and pictures. It was always an experiment – it ended (but only in part) because the results were in.
‘Devious’ infants
And the results are quite satisfactory. There is good news on two fronts. First, Rupert Murdoch is happy with it – his Fox News mouthpieces outdid themselves in barbaric crassness: making animal noises at the mention of a Down syndrome child, describing crying children as actors. They went the whole swinish hog: even the brown babies are liars. Those sobs of anguish are typical of the manipulative behaviour of the strangers coming to infest us – should we not fear a race whose very infants can be so devious? Second, the hardcore fans loved it: 58 per cent of Republicans are in favour of this brutality. Trump’s overall approval ratings are up to 42.5 per cent.

This is greatly encouraging for the pre-fascist agenda. The blooding process has begun within the democratic world. The muscles that the propaganda machines need for defending the indefensible are being toned up. Millions and millions of Europeans and Americans are learning to think the unthinkable. So what if those black people drown in the sea? So what if those brown toddlers are scarred for life? They have already, in their minds, crossed the boundaries of morality. They are, like Macbeth, “yet but young in deed”. But the tests will be refined, the results analysed, the methods perfected, the messages sharpened. And then the deeds can follow.
