That's it. Once they start getting jobs that pay decent they start questioning how and where it is spent and many move to the right.

Which is why the left want to lower the age of voting. First they wanted to grow the state so more people are dependent. Then they wanted to import voters, now they want kids to vote.

They can't actually convince people in the private sector who do a half decent job.

Because they know what it actually takes to make the money which pays for everyone else.

Surely you can see how the punch of your argument is lessened when you act like what you claim to stand against, no?

Anyway, it's completely reasonable to bash college students for having all of the solutions with none of the life experience. Just as it's fine to bash older people who are beat down by life and have forgotten what it was to think about new and different possibilities.

Problem is for the right, wherever they may roam and bleat, that all the ills and bogeymen they see, they created themselves or are a consequence of rampant, unfettered capitalism. You cannot run roughshod over people and expect them to just accept it, there will be a point of resistance. The right/capitalists have pushed a feudal system beyond the pail and when people, globally, are responding and developing ideas and ideals the right whinge and whine and do their normal scaremongering, there's a commie, there's a terrorist, he's anti semitic, your house price will plummet... ad nauseous nauseum ffs.
You cannot think after all these propaganda driven years of trickle down economics that the majority still believe or accept it? Do you? Do you think Friedmanomics, Reaganism and Thatcherism are still promoted, though really only by fools?
I apologise in advance for this, but this whining about the 'far left' and 'the radicalised youth on campus (those without guns I'm assuming), is very kopite behaviour, exactly kopite behaviour, people whingeing about others doing the very thing they've been doing for years...

Regarding my second point, I'm certainly speaking in sweeping generalizations here, no question about it...because that seems to be what LiamG specializes in. If I were discussing things with you, and not LiamG, I would be far more careful with how I word things because you are good at arguing and also careful with your words. I know...double standard, but hey...

If you feel the need to resist during the greatest time to be alive in the course of human history, be my guest. Might I suggest a respite from all this suffering? Perhaps a utopian vacation to Venezuela.
 
I find that the far right sort of know that they're tossers and embrace it, going all about to be the biggest tossers they possibly can be.

Whereas the far left tend to think they're societal heroes and have zero self-awareness about how moronic they are.

They're both utter crap. I pity anyone who automatically takes a view on any given issue depending on the default position of left or right - e.g. someone on the left automatically taking a left-wing position regardless of logic, just because.
