The answer is for the players to give us a chance. Look at the way Goodison rocked that night against Fiorentina. Sure we went onto lose the game but after 2 minutes every single person knew we had a bit of hope and the fans were right up for it.

I disagree with any notion that we are to blame. You genuinely think we could inspire this spineless bunch to win trophies? Not only don't they have the bottle they also have the added disadvantage of not being very good at football. A toxic mix.

No I don’t think we could inspire them , not this shower and I don’t think we’re to blame but I do think we’re Indicative of that ‘malaise’ that runs throughout the club .

it is a difficult watch to see so many passionate fans suffer like this weekend and obvious that things have to change rapidly. as part of soul searching do u think fans have a small part to play in improving so the everton get better??
It's a cynical cess pit, my son won't even go any more. Full of old men trying to sound more negative than the other. Any player makes an error and the fans are off, then said player does something good and he's world class. Bores me these days.

this is a good honest assessment buddy.

The 8 or so thousand supported the team fantastically. They could have given grief in the 1st half but from what I heard were with the team till the end if it little understandably crestfallen.

Fans are not an excuse, that could have been played behind closed doors and they should have won. The lack of desire comes from the players and players only.

ffs MANAGEMENT

You saw them under Big Dunc, it is there, they are just not being led properly. After 3 or 4 years it's harder than you think. Carlo will now know this.

It's deffo the fans fault we have 45 million pound midfielders who do anything to not touch the ball, fans fault we have a team I'll of 100k a week "footballers" scared of a bunch of school kids, fans fault we continue to play "footballers" who just aren't good enough

The only things the fans are at fault for is turning up each week accepting the rubbish this club puts us through

We’ve been too tolerant. We’re probably the most tolerant fan base yet we have a reputation as one of the most brutal. We’ve been served up an unbelievable amount of tripe yet on the whole have accepted it and even clapped the bloke who precipitated over it. We continue to sell our home and away. If Arsenal Liverpool or United aren’t challenging for title their fans are in absolute riot demanding the owners, managers, players out instantly.

We left far too much go and because of that the culture at Everton is now ‘push out that nice YouTube video about our food bank work and they’ll all forget we haven’t won a derby in ten years and will be fine if we beat Brighton’

Spot on, last time I went to a match all the negative bores around me descended into cynical foghorns moments after kick off
