I think the club has a malaise and I think it affects not just the boardroom and the team but the fans as well . When the team was leaked then announced an awful lot of blues, I’m not saying I’m immune to any criticism , were saying how much more embarrassing it’d be to lose to that team rather than seeing it as our chance . The RS win a cup final from 3-0 down , we’d all be in the boozer at that stage well a fair proportion of us .

Again I’m not critical of anyone , they’ve give us no reason to believe but I do think the psychology goes throughout the club . As for an answer , I’ve absolutely no idea .

The answer is for the players to give us a chance. Look at the way Goodison rocked that night against Fiorentina. Sure we went onto lose the game but after 2 minutes every single person knew we had a bit of hope and the fans were right up for it.

I disagree with any notion that we are to blame. You genuinely think we could inspire this spineless bunch to win trophies? Not only don't they have the bottle they also have the added disadvantage of not being very good at football. A toxic mix.

I blame the fans for tolerating performances like yesterday for far too long. For years we have been supportive of mediocrity at best and failure at worst. We will beat Brighton on Saturday and just like that what happened yesterday will be forgotten.
this is a v good contribution thank u.

thank u also this is a great point. does excessive negativity and scrutiny cascade onto the guys and manager on field and make progress even harder??

Supporting wise we can’t do anymore but the fact we tolerate this because some of our numpty super fans says “get behind the team” nah that’s it now we’ve been doing this for 20+ years where has that got us

It’s learned behaviour. We assume the worst because we usually get the worst, there’s nothing odd about it.

They’re a weird lot. I saw a mate of mine had retweeted a post yesterday saying ‘imagine if world war 3 was declared and the league was suspended wouldn’t that be the most Liverpool thing ever’. NO. Would it hell, it’d be totally out of keeping with your entire history you lunatics.

They’re renowned across the world for being lucky and they honestly think they’re unlucky. They don’t know they’re born. They believe they can come back from 3-0 down because they do it, we don’t because we don’t. I know a lot of people try to suggest it’s the other way round but it’s an Occam’s razor situation for me.

We’ve been kicked in the teeth by Everton so often that we just accept it. The only way to change that is by signing better players and winning things. When I was a kid city were seen as an absolute joke of a club. Nobody’s laughing at them now.

lets use a comparison guys. yesterday u played against local rivals who played many young players and then felt nothing but support and belief from their stands. u can pay a guy as a professional but we are all human and need confidence and reassurance. do u think evertons players feel this compared to others??
