The FA Cup

The difference between the FA Cup and League Cup is the games being on weekends. So after Round 3 and the New Year period we will have a week off before and after just like in the League. No excuse to not try to win at that point and they don't start having Premier League fixtures scheduled on cup weekends until the round of 16 I believe at which point we should be giving it a go if we are still around. Unlike the League Cup I'd be genuinely mad if we bottled this with a rotated team.

Also I believe every game is streamed in the US now which means for international Blues or anyone who can't make the match and has no problem with questionable internet sites the Lincoln match and any others that aren't picked for UK TV should be available live.

The FA Cup is the same as the League Cup. I don't care about it until maybe the quarter-final. After the last two performances I'd be more worried about our league position than wondering about a cup run
Deep cup run and 7th would honestly be incredible after the disaster that was last season. And don’t give me that finishing 8th last season nonsense. We were brutal.

..it really isn’t a matter of preferring top 5 over the FA Cup or vice versa, we should aspire for both. Never understand when folk ask that hyperthetical question, the best teams inevitably contest in a number of fronts. We can win the FA Cup, we need to believe.

Because when you haven't won anything in a million years you start to wonder why and how the hell you do actually win anything. Sacrifice one for the other? I don't see why we would but then again I remember we used to win stuff once upon a time.

Lincoln will be well up for this and their coaches will be well aware of our dodgy home form and how to get at us.

We should of course have too much for them but a close knit unit is hard opposition, esp as they will be well up for the game

..the point i’m making is it’s not a matter of sacrificing one against the other. Indeed, good league form enhances performance elsewhere.

If Silva plays his strongest team in the FA cup, and of course gets lucky with injuries and the draw, then we have a real chance of winning it.

This club is desperate for a trophy and I’m sure Moshiri/Brands/Silva understand just how much breathing space a shiny pot would deliver for the new regime.
