There's only 2 of us so it was easy enough but I can't imagine it is something that will be checked that much mate!

you flying back to Newcastle the next day?

did you submit a proper date of birth for all your people? i didn't have this info for my mates, so ain't booked yet...14.45 tickets no longer available on supersaver (assume quite a few on the Newcastle flight jumped on this one), so likely i'm booking 15.15 like you have...should i just make up the date of birth, surely that's not going to get checked!?!?
The 1445 tickets are still available select no reduction and it'll then offer the supersaver on the next page

Sure you're right, will just make a DOB up...yes back on the 2.30pm flight to Newcastle, will be attempting to book the 11am train back to Geneva in the morning (along with everyone else on that flight no doubt)

Don't think there's enough left for me to buy x3 tickets...but yeah for x1 it does look like it's still possible on that train.

Found this in the small print of my booking

'Please note that on the day of arrival, the booking confirmation is also valid as a public transport ticket (including transfer from Bern Airport). '

Im staying at best western hotel.. Is this true? Id still have to pay for train as we are landing in zurich.. Any idea @naughtyyoungboy ?

Might save a few quid for someone

I doubt that will cover your train fare from Zurich. But it's common for the hotel reservation to be valid for transport to the hotel. It's been the case for me staying in hotels in Basel that they will give you a ticket included in hotel price at hotel reception to cover the town public transport network.

For anyone staying in Basel - lots of trams go to the SBB (train station) 2,11,10,8.

If you feel you need it - there's an app called "BvB basel and region."

the sbb likes to pick on people. i'm sure everyone in the ticket office is laughing viciously while updating the website.

but to be fair...they're pretty good with the whole train business.
We're arriving in Basel Bad but have trains booked to Bern from Basel SBB. Can we just jump the train from Basel Bad? Assume is goes through Basel SBB or will we have to get a taxi or something over to Basel BB?

Thats what I thought, booked the 15.06 from Airport (15.15 ticket from Geneva to Bern) Happy days. Just have to buy a airport-geneva ticket on the day. Bottle of voddy from duty free for train and we are laughing.
Can you only use a supersaver on a specific train or is it valid for, say, any off peak travel?

Yeah i know. But the question was rased where opposition fans are usually located. Cause on normal matchdays only 5% of capacity go to away fans that's only 1650. But as english teams bring a lot of fans they get a bigger allocation.
Not true. Neither the RS or Spurs in recent seasons got more than the basic allocation.

Is there a train station @ wankdorf as staying right near it @ novetol

yes there is one

don't forget to take a picture of the sign. allways a good laugh (even though the joke gets old)

take the tram number 9 to guisanplatz expo. your hotel is the ugly white box.

btw. google helps with a good map service

this is the view from the zytglogge stop. go past this building. your hotel is in the alley behind it.

btw. this building is the old granary which has a great restaurant and berns most beautiful bar (mind the prices) in the cellar (kornhauskeller).
