so presumably that means train also from bern main station to wankdorf?

yes. 2 hours before and after the game you can use the city transport (bus, tram & train). and no, there should be no price difference between the main station or wankdorf (the system is zone-based. main station and wankdorf are in the same zone).

that's for trains (zone 100 & 101 is included with the match ticket)

and that's for the city network (everything is included with the match ticket)

Found this in the small print of my booking

'Please note that on the day of arrival, the booking confirmation is also valid as a public transport ticket (including transfer from Bern Airport). '

Im staying at best western hotel.. Is this true? Id still have to pay for train as we are landing in zurich.. Any idea @naughtyyoungboy ?

Might save a few quid for someone

It's valid for 2 hours before or after the game, won't cover anything else!

Thats my hotel booking mate, not match ticket

Oh i see.

Just done a quick google there, and found one for Geneva, and sounds like you'd get a ticket at the hotel, and be able to use it anywhere in the City, so i don't think it'd cover it, however, i may be wrong!

Outwards train booked.

On the Stansted-Basel flight, so booked the 11:59 train to Bern, arriving 12:56, laughing!

On the same flight n spent the last hour trying to decide which train to get..whether to spend more time boozing in Basel or bern... Was aiming for 3pm train out of Basel.
We're staying the old town in Basel so probably tram journey to the station. Presumably your staying in Bern? The 22:30 from Bern should be plenty of time.

Out of interest how much did you pay..was it on supersaver?

Everyone is 20chf, except the one i booked, i assume loads of blues have been booking on that one, so it went up to 24chf, which worked out at £17.81 for a single, so i think it'll be about £15 for a single mate.

Naughty Young Boy - Quick question again!

Where do the opposition normally stay when playing at the Wankdorf?

Cheers.

Don't think we have to change at Geneva. That's what I plan to do.....but i'm no expert in Swiss rail travel, so don't blame me if it all goes to sh1t!

Thats what I thought, booked the 15.06 from Airport (15.15 ticket from Geneva to Bern) Happy days. Just have to buy a airport-geneva ticket on the day. Bottle of voddy from duty free for train and we are laughing.

did you submit a proper date of birth for all your people? i didn't have this info for my mates, so ain't booked yet...14.45 tickets no longer available on supersaver (assume quite a few on the Newcastle flight jumped on this one), so likely i'm booking 15.15 like you have...should i just make up the date of birth, surely that's not going to get checked!?!?
