We have been a middle ground group as much as possible since inception, other people will inevitably try and use us for their own ends but we will continue to try and keep a reasoned approach.

You're going to be conned and used by the same people that introduced lifelong Evertonian Chris Samuelson to an AGM as the head of a previously unknown group about to invest. Those that tried to engineer a move to Kirkby (!) into a "world class stadium" which would be "effectively free" (£100M plus).

Get off your knees.

Why isn't rational? Not everyone likes it but it is a rational statement to make, under this current board it is difficult to have optimisim, under this board it is difficult to see our status doing anything other than diminish in the modern game. Any status we have is entirely down to the hard work of a Manager fighting the tide and passionate supporters.

Saying a Premier League club with 130 years of history. 9 league titles and a fanbase in the millions as having "no status" is not rational.

Also the scarves say "NO OPTIMISM". Thats different to "difficult to have optimism".

Someone saying they have no optimism makes themselves look like they're only looking to criticise and won't see anything positive in anything.

That's not rational either.

But its certainly nothing to do with Everton Football Club making statements like "No Status No Optimism" and the makers of the scarf are the only ones who think it does. Obviously.

This is why I highlighted the difference between the scarf and the website.

I can agree with the website, the scarf is provocative and alienates a great many of the fans who believe the club has status and there is reason to be optimism about its future (despite the need for change)

I'd say many of these fans don't like to see the cheap sloganeering from the anti kenwright at all costs faction. Don't like to see the fans use the club motto to wash its dirty laundry in public.

Scarves in the midst of a heatwave,I sense a job in the marketing/pr department for me.

I was listening to the radio today and Paul McCartney came on, anyway he was tinkling away on the ivories and singing along when I would swear I heard him sing.....

No More Bill Kenwright
We are Blue Forever
No more Bill Kenwright

I may have been hearing things but then I reckon there was a subliminal message in there, can anyone play it backwards to see if there are any hidden messages on it.

No More Bill Kenwright
We are Blue Forever
No more Bill Kenwright

Silas, the sceptical part of me thinks you came on here to whip up support for E4C.

Which is a shame as I was liking you.

I promise you that is not the case. Ask RUFUS who knows me very well from another forum whether I have any of that about me. Hell I didn't even start this thread and I promise I won't be spamming the board with anything away from this thread.

Apologies and thanks for clearing it up. I think you've answered well for what it's worth, good luck*

* but sack those scarves off lid.

If the scarf is provocative, job done. Maybe they should have made one that no one wanted to read?

As for alienating a great many fans - feel free to produce your evidence....
