The bank owns all the deeds lid.
Not sure I follow your point here. Isn't this an argument about if a wealthy investor can still influence things under fair play? Under the absurd scenario of a wealthy person taking over EFC they would obviously pay down our debt so that's kind of a moot point. That said a wealthy person taking over EFC is also a moot point as long as Kenwright is around. It's all moot -- get moot on.

Regardless, I went to the IMAX last night and the line was too long to wait for popcorn (true story). Batman preview.

I've said this before so I'll say it again: if Man City are allow to sponsor themselves for a massively overinflated rate then nobody should ever mention the words "fair play" ever again. If that goes through then a rich benefactor is just as powerful as before; it's just you have to go through one extra step of sponsoring your own team instead of handing them the cash directly.

Classy that Neiler...

njilgernj I was just being flippant, Damon meant actions I was using a play on words to mean land deeds. This place needs a little tongue-in-cheekery, its pretty intense.

Factually incorrect. Kenwright went public saying that the Arteta money would predominantly be made available.

But you've got no FACTS to back up anything you. You're as bad as Kentight you.

As you probably noticed i made a mistake in my original post by using the word "public" twice.

I clearly meant to write :

Kenwrong told Moyes in private exactly what money he would get and Moyes accepted it.

Has nothing to do with what gets said in public.

Playing the game. Playing the game.

So its clear that Kenwrong and Moyes had discussed the transfer budget for January in private and Moyes being a smart man regarding how the club works understood that the majority would go to the bank but Kenwrong would give him some funds to spend in Jan.

Which is what has happened (Darren Gibson and anyone else who comes in).

So what Kenwrong said on that subject (that there will be funds to be used on pre discussed targets) has been proven to be correct.

If he said in public that all the Arteta money would be used in Jan than he was just shaping the battlefield. What he would of said in private is totally different as you well know.

The desperation of Billy Liar

The MD of a company that we spend alot of money with is a very close friend of Sir Alex Ferguson. They talk to eachother on first name terms. The reason I qualify this is that I have no reason to dis-believe him.

He told me today that Mr Kenwright made several highly emotional and tearful calls direct to AF leading up to the sale of Darron Gibson pleading with him to cut him a break and let us have Gibbo on the cheap. The suggestion was that it was verbally agreed that if we choose to sell Barkley at any point, Man Utd would have first refusal. This was only hinted at though. I just think the thought of our Chairman phoning Alex Ferguson in tears is quite sad and pathetic and if true, says it all really.
