So Mandelson has almost certainly broken some of the most serious laws of the land. I look forward to his trial where he will be put away for the rest of his life. He gave Epstein a heads up regarding the 2008 financial crash - just how many billions did Epstein make from this information? He was comfortable enough to be wandering around Epstein's homes in his underwear. He is proven to have been extremely close to Epstein years after he claimed he broke off all contact. The lies are staggering.

Mandelson, Andrew Mountbatten, Bill Gates, Musk, Trump and all the others need to be forced to testify before congress, yet it will never happen.

But still, the government will put normal folk in prison for not buying a TV licence or saying hurty words online.

Starmer needs to fall on his sword over this. The honourable thing would be to resign.
You can't go to jail for not paying a tv licence.
By 'hurty words', are you referring to this racist scumbag by any chance ?

Streeting has always been he most unpalatable element of this version of Labours move into the so called center imo.

100%. always amazes me how out of touch some MPs are if they think he’d be a good fit for PM. Would be worse appeal than Starmer.

The problem Starmer and Labour has is this is going to drag on for months with a slow drip of even worse revelations. Starmer should stand down now for the good of the party/country but it’s not going to happen.

The problem is that if Angela Rayner takes his place (and I, for one, would vote for her) she is going to be just as crucified by the Tory press, TV and social media as Jeremy Corbyn was.

(Whatever happened to Ken Loach's party?)

Starmer should go for appointing Mandleson. Terrible appointment and he should be held accountable for it. I’d be calling for the leader of any other party to go for the same so no double standards.

The royal family should also be abolished for paying off an accuser with 10M.

Let’s keep things consistent at least.

Trying to see through the whole horrific, on so many levels, situation the problem for Labour is this.

They are going to get annihilated in the May elections. So after that will be the time they move out Starmer and get a reset leader. If they get rid of him early the new leader gets landed with May shellacking. Also there is the Rachel Reeves conundrum. Although the budget was in November, due to the financial year only starting in April, all the changes only really start to show July/August. If the economy is still flatlining Rachel can’t go back to the country a third time saying this time it will definitely work. No one will be listening.
A new leader in summer gets a new chancellor as part of the reset.
If they get rid and a new leader comes in March/April who then gets rid of Reeves and the economy does start to pick up it’s another s£&tshow.

They may say remember the victims but professional politicians will never change.

PS-for all those who are hoping for the truth to come out always remember Sir Humphrey Appleby’s take on inquiries.

Never ever ask a question unless you already know the answer.

Personally I think if truth be told Starmer knew exactly the type of bloke Mandelson is - though I'll choose to believe Starmer didn't know the true extent of his closeness with Epstein. Unfortunately given the bizarre nature of the Trump regime I can see that there was strong, if perverse, argument for sending someone as Machiavellian/Uriah Heapish/unprincipled as Mandelson. As unsavoury a choice as he was it was a gamble to try and stay "in" with the loathsome, but vital, US regime.

It's blown up in Starmer's face and much as I don't agree that it from a purely moral or righteous POV I can see why he did it and I'm not going to give the guy too hard a time for trying it.

Aye for sure. Even Starmer has been held accountable more than any Tory leader. People saying things have never been so bad and trying to pin it on Labour’s short time in charge. The two-tier Kier moniker is embarrassing.

“Ms Rayner herself has recently hinted at a comeback, reportedly declaring, 'I'm not dead yet,' and warning about the threat posed by Reform UK.”
