The 'diving Panel' farce

Agree really, by the letter of the law it was a pen. If salah was an honest player he would have stayed on his feet but, living with the Shearer style of going down whenever there is contact, it is a pen. There have been other much worse incidents this year that should have resulted in bans though and the issue still stands, why only Niasse and Lanzini in over a year?

Presumably because after people wanting them to do somehting about diving and cheating they bought the rule in, banned 2 players but realised they'd made a complete arse of it so quietly dropped it unless there is an incident which is the most obvious blatant 100% nailed on dive to win a pen, then they'd maybe bring it back for that, otherwise they won't bother.

Certainly suggests there isn't a bias for "the big 6" when 18 other clubs haven't suffered from it either, cause i'm pretty sure they didn't manage to eradicate all cases of simulation.

It's an injustice & everybody knows it...

Salah is a cheat but is getting away with it...

Niasse was unlucky as he was definitely pushed...

If Niasse done what Salah done on Saturday he would not even have got a penalty...

I think Klopp has got Klinsmann in secretly to teach them to dive

Absolutely scandalous
Let's get right him winning the pen doesn't change that game they still win it comfortably but how they are not at least looking into it is absolutely baffling. Seen a few of them say "DIDNT SEE YOU MOAN WHEN DCL WHEN DOWM FROM LOVREN" TWO wrongs don't make a right for a start but dcl was running at pace it's a lot easier to lose balance that was jusf pathetic from salah and not the first time he's gone down like a bag of shiite aswell

Putrid club they are

Some mad views in here. DCL and Salah not comparable at all. The former was a push in the back with the forearm that took DCL out. The way he fell was natural for the angle of the push and the speed they were travelling. I.e. a push in the back would take you forwards and downwards. That’s what happened.

Salah was lightly touched on the right shoulder; but his legs gave way and his back arched. It’s a clear case of simulating something that did not happen. A pull of that type with the required force would spin you around clockwise. He didn’t spin around, he fell downwards. Clear dive from the humble man.

Niasse and Salah comparable. Niasse went down to exaggerate the contact that wasn’t heavy enough to take him down.

But the most annoying thing is the double standard. If niasse is the base level that’s not allowed, it should be applied consistently. We are now in a situation where we have no idea what is and isn’t allowed when it comes to simulation.

On Salah specifically, of course the media and the broadcasters would not allow last year’s POTS to miss broadcasted games against Arsenal and City. And the refs, officials, and media will be contorting themselves not to give the red snowflakes any chance to start a petition or create a narrative that the title was taken away from them by outside forces.

The rules do not apply to the Sky 6.

If it was Niasse (or any Everton player), he would have been fined, banned for 3 matches and then hung drawn and quartered by the entire football world for being such a bad influence on football.
