I thought this was going to be about the Ross and Rom sagas.
I believe Moshiri has the right intentions too. Not based on anything though. More hope than anything.
I just can't bring myself to trust Kenwright and Elstone 100% though sadly.
I don't think anyone trusts BK and Elstone 100%. But I will say I think Kenwright's biggest flaws were on the financial, commercial, and new stadium side of things. If Moshiri is keeping Bill away from those areas, I think he can still do some good for the club.
I'm not sure what Elstone has really done but I haven't seen much good ever attributed to him. He must be good at something or Moshiri wouldn't have kept him around.
Ah! Another ITK....see my post above.
Got me there mate!Elstone on the other hand has forged a successful career for himself, hes currently got a very well paid job at a major Premier League football club, where he has negotiated multi-million pound record commercial deals.
WBU?
Ah! Another ITK.
turning up in your y fronts ranting drink every 5 mins no doubt has a negative effect..not sure Pete but his view coincided with the very good information I was given that Bill is a nuisance in the transfer process.
Come September this could well turn out prophetic. I suspect we have some net funds to spend but not in the magnitude the hype has suggested.I agree completely, this summer and beyond are 100% on Moshiri. Obviously we all hope we have a good summer and that we are giving credit rather than criticism. I do think though that if things go badly, there will be a bit of blood on the floor. A lot of the gloss surrounding Moshiri will disappear if that's the case.
Whilst that would be utterly depressing, I think there would be a high possibility that he would attempt to use his ready-made Jim White channel in an attempt to deflect blame. Kenwiright can serve as a useful scapegoat if I was looking at it cynically.
If we'd had a great window last summer there's no chance Bill or Elstone would have been credited for it. Last summer was a shambles and that's down to Moshiri, he's in charge now. The buck stops with him.
It's embarrassing the lengths people will go to defend Moshiri and the lack of any sort of impact he's had so far.
The Premier League's at it's richest ever and we still had a negative spend last season. It took us selling Stones to spend any actual money and it looks like it's going to be the same this summer with Barkley and Lukaku.Other than paying top dollar to get the manager and backroom staff we have, begin the restructuring of the club (Director of Football etc...), refinancing our debt to enable us to move forward, help provide the basis for a potential waterfront stadium rather than being content with a 'Tesco Express' in Kirkby, helping securing greatly enhanced sponsorship deals like USM Finch Farm and SportPesa (yes I believe he was key to things like this - e.g. buying the Liver Building that now hosts their HQ)... shall I continue?
There is more to making an impact at a football club than breaking a transfer fee record - this isn't Football Manager or FIFA.
