I would believe not if Koemans comments Jan and over the last few months are anything to go by.
Care to explain?Wow - what a thread
Care to explain?
It's moshiris job to remove Bill. Isn't ballsy enough to do it.
Get Trevor Birch back.
That would lend more credence that they are the best negotiators in the world and are key to us making ANY deals happen.... @The Esk said Bill and Ben (Elstone) are more hindrance than help in transfer negotiations and I understand they are a very frustrating duo to work with. My information is that the process would work much better without Bill in particular.
Nothing will be the same.
I fully expect a long drawn out window and for us to sign 3 players of europa league quality.
It will be good - in the end.A good window then by Everton standards?
So when we sign ALL the players you will admit you made a mistake and declare Bill and Bob Kings?
Dry your sheets for Gods sake, 3 freaking days you have waited before you drink late at night and soil your sheets.
Well, we sort of know they are here until the stadium delivery / Moshiri exercise of options.
That said, to me Kenwright will be dragged kicking and screaming, not only out of GP, but of Bramley Moore as well. Can't see him not being in the limelight when a shiny new stadium is about to be opened.
No point in fussing about transfers yet, but we certainly are not well served by continuation of this gentlemans agreement.
I don't see why Kenwright can't be made Life President or something, and Elstone simply removed.
But the bottom line is that this is, or supposedly is, Moshiri's gig.
If he can't identify and remove obstacles to progress in the form of Kenwright and Elstone, then that it is very worrying. Kenwright can be given "something" to do but we should not need him negotiating transfers. It's more likely that he simply will not back down, and Moshiri cannot or will not force the issue.
If that's the case, it is extremely worrying.
If he sees no issue at all, it is catastrophic.
To play devils advocate, I think there is something in it for both sides to imply blame on the other, if things go tits up again. Moshiri can let it be known his hands are tied, and Kenwright can say he is not the one pulling strings anymore.
Elstone has this amazing ability to make everything he says come off as incredibly disappointing.
At least Kenwright has a bit of a hopeless romantic about him, not that he should be anywhere near the business dealings of the club.
