Him and his Celtic team gave this then, fifteen year old one of my favourite and happy football moments.
Spot on...I was nearly 15 when the famous Lisbon lions won the European Cup....of course the first British side to do so...magnificent player and captain was Billy. Don't make them like that anymore.

Being an impressionable teenager at the time, I fell for every last bit of the lead up to the match, whereby Inter were cast in a very non PC way, as typical swarthy, greasy, dirty cheating Italians. All against the pale, hard working working class heroes.
Hope I don't get another ban for this.

To be fair, they did bribe a referee to get us knocked out of the European Cup, and didn't they do something similar to Derby under Clough (or was that Juve?) so it wasn't just a stereotype.

I did remember one or two whispers about a bung being taken by officials.
Then they were at it again against RS by allowing a couple of dubious goals at the San Siro.
