After (sort of) defending Mrs Sunak's absolute right to legally pay as little tax as possible to the country that supplies her with the house she lives in, I have subsequently found out that she was part owner of Lava Mayfair Club Ltd, a private membership gym, which collapsed last year owing almost £44million to creditors, including £374,000 to HMRC.
Another company of hers, education firm Mrs Wordsmith, went into administration last year owing £16.3million – after receiving a £1.3million loan from the Government's Future Fund.
Another Murty venture, Digme Fitness, which she owns 100% of, received up to £635,000 of furlough money before it closed its eight studios in London and Oxford, still owing HMRC £415,000.

Mr Sunak introduced the furlough scheme, and his wife benefited to the tune of £635,000.
Mr Sunak also oversees the rules regarding non-dom status, and his wife benefits from these to the tune of over £20 million a year.
Mr Sunak is supposed to be in charge of ensuring that the UK maximises its tax take, but his wife has overseen companies going bust owing £789,000 to HMRC.
Mr Sunak also says his wife's tax affairs are none of our business.

Fishi Rishi indeed.

He’s toast. now his name has been changed from Dishy Rishi to Fishi Rishi there’s no way back…..

You don’t have get through politicians mate. There won’t be any left.

Wonder without loosening the Brexit vote how many of the Cameron crew would still bring politics, often think it was just a wipeout if a generation of politicians, interest us g woukd any of the current crew would ever have made it without it.

Just speaking to the missus, I didn't realise that for pubs and restaurants VAT will go up from 12.5% to 20%, surely that's a piss take?! these businesses have struggled through Covid and some have just about made it, how the hell can this [Poor language removed] of a government make life more difficult for them.

While I believe it's a poor and short-sighted decision by the chancellor, I suspect their reasoning will be that it was only ever a temporary reduction.
