I'd think it would probably feel serious if you were an elderly lady at home who wasn't allowed to visit a dying husband in hospital at that time (as happened to friends of mine).
And on your point on WMD, no of course the Tories don't have a monopoly on lying, self-righteous bellends, but from what I recall they, as a party, were pretty instrumental in passing Blair's bill to go into Iraq.
It's also a worry that his wife's popping out offspring like she's shelling peas.

i find it truly bizarre that apparently sensible people don’t or won’t demand more from those that they elect than bare faces lies and self interest , it really is incredible what people will put up with that just to ‘own the libs . ‘

I used to think trump and that no consequence, excuse anything behaviour was the preserve of the crazy gun toting racist yanks and the RS . Ah well judge a man by the company he keeps I suppose .

It works the other way though. It's political tribalism and it's only got worse in recent years, with the 'woke' stuff and people defending proper insanity just to show they're morally 'pure' for their own tribe.
