Can’t blame them for wanting nothing to do with the inevitable circus from any investigation to be honest. Doesn’t look good though.Number10 is the home to the Prime Minister. Where was Johnson on the night when the party or for Johnson an 'event' occurred? He must have been out for the whole night, with his wife and child, while his staff in Downing Street had food, drinks and played party games. Otherwise, he could vouch that 'rules were not broken' in his residence and not have to rely on 'staff told me no rules were broken'.
Interesting that the MET said 'no evidence'. Didn't the police at the gates see large quantities of food and drinks arriving and not be suspicious what was going on? Seems like the MET are covering their backs and trying to dodge criticism for their inaction in not stopping a party right under their noses.
I think you forget that Johnson has read the RS play book of excuses and he was asleep upstairs while the party raged on downstairs.Number10 is the home to the Prime Minister. The suggestion that there isn't a log of who is there is laughable too.Haha, an absence of evidence at possibly the most secure/monitored street in the country. Sure someone could muster a dash cam of people piling in.
To be fair, there are 100 odd rooms in the place. It's not like a bedsit with an office attached.Number10 is the home to the Prime Minister. If this story is still going in a week or so, Johnson is in trouble.
I’m not saying it’s right but I get why they don’t want to get involved. Same reason they barely did anything about Cummings. The MET facilitated 'law breaking' at Number 10. The MET have prosecuted hundreds of Londoners for gatherings, similar to the Downing street bash.
What a short memory. Have you learnt nothing? The thread title was changed after an MP was murdered... The general mentality on here is that "all Tories are scum"... Tory MP's, Tory voters... doesn't matter... they are 'all scum'. Not really a vote winning tactic. You'll never learn with that mentality.I once again repeat the call - change the thread title back.
"Scummy Tories" is a perfectly apt description of the current parliamentary party. It's not saying "all Tories are scum", it's saying "these Tories are scum".

Do you remember when Diane Abbot had that drink on the train....
