You’re right, of course.

But there are some things that I think usually cut through, as they tap into the deep sense of fairness and justice that the vast majority of people have, on all political sides.

The well documented corruption, and contracts for their mates, coupled with the outright lies, I really would hope cuts through with the electorate. If not, any innate sense of the value of honesty or integrity is depressingly absent from the population.

People know what they are but turn a blind eye. Remember the tories have now painted themselves as the fiscally responsible party who are tough on foreigners. A large amount of the electorate don’t care much beyond that and will say ‘all politicians are the same’ and then vote Tory.
Will take something insane to happen for that to change.
