He's really acting weird lately. Maybe mentally lost it?
Work as a memtal health nurse in an inpatient unit, and we were talking about this, this morning. Something just seems off with him. You can usually spot those that are Ill,.or blagging it. We all seem to think there is something wrong here. Wether it is stress and all his ticks and mannerisms are being exaggerated, or something more serious. But he is not right. If it goes on, I wouldn't be surprised if he gets replaced soon. He just has the demeanour of somebody who is struggling mentally.

Why do people vote for these people an embarrassment to the human race but somehow not to tory voters, I genuinely feel ashamed of this government.

You have to turn your mind back to THE issue of the day at the last election. Brexit. And the Tories were the only party who appeared to have some clarity of purpose. It was flawed, obvs, but I like many others no doubt. was sick to the back teeth of the whole charade in the HOC. Hench I voted for them. Not in a supportive way, but Brexit wise, there wasnt much else on offer.

Not having a go at you here (because a lot of people have said that) but its really hard view to understand people ever coming to by themselves - I mean, they brought about the EU referendum, ran both sides of it, negotiated both versions of it and it was Tory votes (as in the ERG and Johnson) who blocked it repeatedly (and prevented any alternatives in the HoC).

There is no other party that was responsible for that state of affairs, and yet a load of people were somehow convinced that it was only them that could fix it. As we've seen with the lies that have come out since (the "oven ready deal" for example), that was nonsense.

lol

I knew Brexit was a farce, but unfortunately it was also real. The sooner the realities were exposed for what they were the sooner they could be fixed/fudged. That was my reluctant mindset.

Then, of course, Covid changed everything.

Beg to differ… covid was/is a convenient scapegoat which (and I do understand how this sounds but I don’t mean it in a callous way) came at just the right time for the tories

Didnt really want it fixed. It probably never will be. But other than abstain from voting, no one else was saying they would do something.

Remember those unending nights of "indicative votes"? The maths in the HOC just meant it was constipated. That needed to change.

Differ in what way? You, (I think) asked why anyone could have voted for them. I gave my reluctant reason why I did. Brexit. (as a remainer)

Covid changed the world. Whether it has been "good" for the Tories I couldnt care less about.

Oh it was - but it was them who was responsible for that constipation. Any party could have cleared it if they had a majority.

Thanks for agreeing. After the GE, they had the majority needed to clear it. I do not disagree that they were the architects of the whole mess, but that wasnt the question asked.
