If you want?

My point is your patriarchal argument is a poor one mate - women could dominate and rule the world but most crimes/murders/rapes would be still commited by men.
No your logic is ‘men are men and have testosterone’ so let’s do what we can not to wind them up. Which is bonkers.

Testosterone = aggression

Men have Testosterone

Men = more acts of violence

Unless you want to eradicate the Male genome and only breed Females which will ultimately kill of the human population you cant stop men being predominantly the more aggressive of the specie.

You can however stop building churches/mosques and telling them fairytale stories.

Religion has no place in modern society imo.

One less thing to get people riled up / divided about isn't it.
This argument is basically ‘boys will be boys so let’s not give them stuff to get riled up’.

it amuses me that you want rid of organised religion but fail to see that it is one of the clearest example of patriarchy in society.

You are all over the place.

You’ve just got a much lower opinion of men that I do, really.

You're talking nonsense as usual mate I dont know why I bother engaging with your pseudo academia nonsense - read a book on biology then come back to me.

You blame men for violence and think its down to patriarchy when it isn't its down to biology. Yes attitudes towards women in a society could be down to patriarchy to an extent but the over-riding issue of what makes men more prone to violent acts isn't.

And football may still see men being violent but not on the same level of blowing up buses full of kids that's done in the name of organised religion.

What’s your favourite book on biology?

Biology is such an arbitrary place to stop if you don’t believe nurture is the biggest driver. Why stop there? Why not go the whole hog and blame entropy.

I don’t discount biology at all. But I think nurture is the most important factor. Otherwise there would be no bias in the statistics of violence among things like race and wealth and education. It would be consistent across all lines. Biology is obviously a factor that I agree with. But I think that nurture is more important and I like to give men more credit than effectively assigning animal status and the inability to control their urges.

and the absolute comedy and irony of you telling ANYONE to read a book.

Of course nurture plays a part - but where your argument falls down is that I've seen plenty of young angry aggressive males that come from single parent families with no male role model.

So surely growing up with just a mum as the "boss" "matriarch" and putting a different perspective into these young males you would assume would set these lads straight but no - plenty go on to join gangs, to commit violent acts etc.
