Latin was a great help to me learning languages and also improving vocabulary in English.

But that was back in the sixties. It's insane for Latin to be reintroduced to the state curriculum nowadays. This is purely to impress old Tories in the shires.

Kids should be learning modern languages that will help them in their future employment. Given Britain's trade prospects, it shouldn't be hard to come up with some suggestions.
