Agreed. But “the world of National Security” and the specific question are different (possibly related, but still different) things.

Why is it. If Patel was suspected of leaking state information to Israel, he'd know about it. And if she had do you really think she'd be allowed anywhere near her current role.

I know as much as you do mate. But just using common sense says she's been screened and screened again before getting that job

Ah....the old common sense. I suppose it comes down to trust really. You appear to trust this lot, so broadly happy to give them the benefit of the doubt, and I don’t, so won’t. Hancock & Patel found guilty of breaching the ministerial code? No problem. Contracts to pals without proper scrutiny? no problem. So, no oversight on a trip no one knew about in advance anyhow? Err....difficult to say.
I’m sure the Israelis would fess up to anything they were told even if Patel had realised what she was telling them was supposed to be secret if that was the case.

Sajid (who father was a bus driver), just in case you don't know. Is exactly the right person for the job as health secretary, JP morgan are licking their lips, they have a taste for British institutions, after their super league fell apart.
