I'm sorry. I misspoke. Let's draw a line in the sand and move on.Not hardly.
They said on the news tonight his missus had left him
It' shows the measure of these types of people, reckon the wife leaving is the only reason he has gone, making his position unattainable. However, it's the young children, not only comfortable cheating on their mother he was happy to continue with facade of trying to front it out, we all now what our press is like they would have come into focus mother and kid's. There is just not the original words to describe this lots behaviour apart from disgusting. Not hardly.

Not when you hold public office...He’s been totally set up here. His and her private lives are for them to deal with, but when they bring it into the workplace he had no other option than to resign.

TBf Hanock could have avoided all this moral indignation by snogging her at Barnard Castle... Something on lines of testing his taste buds. Not sure "set up" is the right phrase - they've certainly used their press creatures to force him out, but what he's been accused of so far (the affair, the to put the best possible spin on it "blurring of the distinction between public and private financial interests" and of course incompetence) is something I'd imagine most current Cabinet ministers are guilty of.

I can appreciate the difficult position Hancock has been in throughout this crisis. I can appreciate and accept why the message have needed to be firm.
But, the fact of the matter is, Hancock has only himself to blame here because in his position he can't afford to undermine the key message to the public.
When you consider his other failings, there was no other option here. My only sympathy is for his family and her family, who've been brought into all of this.
He will remain an MP, without a shadow of a doubt; he's just not in the Cabinet any more. Also, I'd say his MP's wage may have been less than 50% of his total income. He'll be completely fine in that respect.
