Yes it’s the girl pushing the bloke that kicks it off isn’t it.

I don’t see where I wrote that? More that the photo that had been put out that made the bloke look like he swung a beautiful haymaker appro of nothing. You’d also have to glibly ignore the fact where I noted he was totally in the wrong too.

Only the lunatic fringe of Twitter seems to be pushing this still, there seems to be a unwillingness to engage with the wider consensus that they were in the wrong. There appears to be some attempt to salvage some moral victory when none exists.

I'd actually love it if Rees Mogg became leader of the Tories. Just imagine a leadership battle between him and Gove.

At the next election the Tories would be routed and out of contention for power for a generation!

I do like Rees-Mogg in that he actually seems genuine to himself and not a cookie cutter career politician. He’d be suicidal to go for any leadership bid though, his stance on abortion enough is a non-starter. He’s an entertaining eccentric but that’s it.

I'm inclined to think it's about as authentic as Farage's 'Al the Pub Landlord' act.

Baffled by all that, like.

He is an absolute policy/acts nerd. Not that thats a bad thing, but he just loves wading through pages and pages of green papers and ammendments, weighing up every single word in commitees and meetings.

I've never understood this line of thinking - the man is poison as far as I'm concerned!

Absolutely.

Why? He has a stance and sticks to it, he doesn’t alter the way he thinks. It’s a live by the sword, die by the sword attitude, but it’s one that’s perhaps lacking. Theres a load of faceless MP’s who don’t actually seem able to change anything because they’re totally unsure of what they actually stand for.

He wants to take us all back to the 19th century...btw Messrs Hitler and Stalin had a stance and they stuck to it.

Well if that’s the case, if you are ever in the situation, vote against him. Btw pretty much everyone has a stance not just genocidial dictators, the problem is that MPs tend to forget theirs once they are in office.
