Will the Tories ever come to realise that "Austerity Cuts" were a huge mistake!?

Councils up and down the country are beyond broke. Here's the latest...

As an former Northamptonian I can tell you Northamptonshire CC has been a basket case for most of the last 20 years

But no Council should ever be running out of cash when it has key services to deliver? If the Council is a basket case then the voters can kick it into touch every 5 years?

What is really scummy is those momentum kids who turned up to the Rees Mogg speech wearing masks. By all means go and debate and oppose him, but anyone who turns up to create confrontation but hasn't the guts to show their face, is an utter embarrassment.

I can't support this labour party. More like a rent mob.

Well he's clearly a thug too then. But to suggest the issue was caused by anyone other than the thugs arriving at the back wearing masks is ludicrous. Like who seriously turns up for serious debate in a balaclava?

Lots of what we call "whataboutery" here in NI going on. Don't blame others when your own house is clearly not in order.

Was a non violent protest as the above tweet states, not a debate.

No whataboutery here when we’re talking about the same incident.

Balaclavas are not something I associate with non violent protest I'm afraid. But if you don't want to criticise them then your prerogative.

Anyone should be allowed to speak. Anyone should be allowed to speak out against them and oppose. But if you feel you need a mask and don't have the guts to show your face, then I think it's fair to say your motives are questionable.

Just rather focus on the actual violent acts rather than their attire.

They've run out of money because they're a bunch of crooks and bunglers. Of course the cuts haven't helped and are a significant contributory factor as well. How Mackintosh became one of their MP's after the Sekhemka statue affair and his blatantly corrupt dealings with the football club defies belief.

The current head of the council gets chauffeured around in a car with a half million pound number plate FFS.

Got to agree with @zzr45 above. I am in NO WAY a supporter of Rees-Mogg, nor the beliefs of the "far-right", but that still image is just so misleading of the actual events that took place it's unreal lol. The person who loaded this image to Twitter clearly wanted to give the impression that the lad in the white top had swung at the woman, when any reasonable person who actually watches the video can see that wasn't the case at all. It's posts on Twitter like this from the far-left that really doesn't help their cause, because when they are so easily proven as false then they only end up looking a bit desperate.
