You think it doesn't make sense! Would it make more sense to suggest that Putin and co are either not bothered by western strength, a strong EU, and united Britain? Or maybe that Putin wants a stronger EU and strategically and socially unified UK? If they don't then the glaringly obvious is that they will support any areas that threaten this, as mentioned.

If you think that the Kremlin hasn't got, or are not looking to build a stake in any area of influence in western institutions or those opposed to the west, then I would suggest that you are either a tad naive or possibly biased. This hybrid political warfare is most certainly not employed through funding alone.

A Corbyn government would most certainly have invested in Trident and would probably have been more likely to invest for growth in the armed forces and UK defence capability, 100%

Which is a whole load of evidence proving that the point has sailed over your head.

Of course Putin wants to damage us. He’s doing that quite well without ever supporting Corbyn, so to pipe up with rubbish like he wanted Corbyn to win is nonsensical.

Also since you mentioned it, if Trident was ever cancelled we would end up with a far more capable military, not a weaker one.

That man made gains into the Tory majority a couple of years previous. It was cos he flip flopped on brexit that gave many people an excuse to vote Tory. It gave an excuse for labour/leave voters to vote Tory.

Agreed mate. I am not suggesting that we point at any one party of individual here.

For this issue, I would suggest that we are facing a dangerous situation and that this is something that we should be unified in demanding that there are root and branch changes to protect our democracy and that a light be shone upon all areas of involvement.

No, I understand strategy perfectly, practically and academically. I don't feel any less of you for not being clear but possibly consider not positioning your posts so definitively.

I think if we are being honest we might agree that the Kremlin and Putin would rather have had a Corbyn government in place than the Tories. Corbyn's approach was that of the appeaser who met Hitler, who wanted to scrap the UK nuclear deterrent, to cut back the armed forces, wanted to leave the EU, and was open to breaking up the UK union. Almost reads as following a set of Kremlin objectives.

Not sure how any of that makes any sense whatsoever.

Makes better sense if you repeat it out loud in deep Russian accent while wafting a big wedge of cash...

Failing that translate it's origin-

Really?

Makes for a good spectacle when he's spaffing for both sides.
Well it was obvious to me all along that being obese was the main reason for the deaths, but now Johnson is using it and making a fuss about it cos he wants to place the blame on the victims themselves rather than on himself.

I thought it was pretty well established the underlying health conditions, including obesity, contributed to higher risks? If it has encouraged the government to do more to tackle obesity then I suppose it's a good thing. I said at the beginning of this, that hopefully this will encourage people generally to look at their health, but having the government joining in can hopefully help matters.

Lol, when do we start subsidising fast-food 50pc ?
