If I was to play devils advocate I'd probably highlight that the Tories got in because voters left Labour under Corbyns leadership.
I don’t necessarily disagree with that. However they are in now and have been for the last 10 years. People still voted for this mess. It’s time they took responsibility for this.

@tories this is your boy. Asked about a bipartisan report detailing worrying interference by Moscow, he says it’s all about Brexit.
You should hang your heads in shame that you’ve allowed this joke to take power.

If Starmer was really concerned about Russian interference then he might have apologised for Corbyn’s use of a ‘trade’ document released by Russia during the election. I think Boris hit the nail on the head saying that Starmer‘s real intent was to try and suggest a Russian link to Brexit. Just Politics......

it’s distraction though isn’t it. He’s not answering the question, or addressing the (Very real) concern. He’s just flipping it to the typical blah blah blah brexit. He can only get away with that for so long

Starmer didn't even mention Brexit there, why would you assume that? You reckon Russia might have wanted Brexit or something?

this is my thing pete I don’t get it , Brexit is done and You’ve won. However the potential threats identified to our democracy going forward have to viewed as serious don’t they ? Other nations are already tackling it , or trying to , whilst we seem to be ignoring it .

brexit was , primarily it seems to me , about sovereignty I don’t care who is benefiting I truly don’t care I honestly I don’t but those Potentially risking our future by either working with or not caring about foreign Influence need to be stopped .

You see this apathy in the states also. ‘It benefitted my side so I’m not arsed’

not only that though as @Bruce Wayne said the other day it’s the ultra nationalists those that wave the flag the most that seemed the least concerned . I make no apologies for saying I can’t get my head around it , I find it baffling.
Yeah it’s an interesting conflict isn’t it. Could say the same with all the furore over ‘unelected bureaucrats’ then not being arsed about the behaviour of the likes of Cummings. Makes you wonder.

That seemed to come out heavily during the Brexit debate, a sort of "we want sovereignty" (or something), but if we get our way, then we're happy not to have it, just so long as the other side don't get a say. It created an impression that it was much less about principles, and more about getting what they wanted and sod everyone else.

Classic BBC on the six o'clock news leading with the Labour antisemitism court case instead of the far far more important Russian story.
They're scared of the government now.

Having watched the whole of the exchange, it seems to me that Bozo got a relatively calm ride at PMQs, even though he was still able to use his deflection and evasive tactics (dead cattery). Max Headroom never mentioned the real meat of the report ie the amount of money given to the tories by rich oligarchs citing London as the centre of money laundering (Londongrad, as one of the papers called it). The annexe to the report, giving details of these donors was not made available. Corrupt to the core, think Starmer missed an opportunity there.

The right wing PR machine absolutely plays you every time

I totally agree. But let’s not forget that in the HoC they play politics. We should, without doubt be treating this with the utmost concern, but our Politicians are no longer grown ups.....
