Why would it be in their interest? Would it not have reached the press by now? I'm sure that there'll have been numerous people who'd be happy to disclose.

He's a pretty odious individual and a liar, but that doesn't automatically mean that this is a lie. If people think it is, well they perhaps need to be a bit more objective.

Exactly. I detest the Tories as much as anyone here and have spent the last 25yrs as an adult out walking the streets campaigning against them. To suggest they have attempted to pull off such a lie with horrific consequences if found out - and little upside if true - is utter madness.

There was/is zero political gain for him disappearing for those weeks. All it exposed was the weakness of the rest of the Tory mob. Yes a personal blessing for Johnson but no way the whole government or party would support it.

As far as I'm aware Johnson was/is the only major global leader to get Covid. The fallout for a faking of serious illness would ruin him and his party. No way would Cummings et al take that risk.

And last remember who you're talking about. The Tories are famous for their treachery. Someone would leak it.

Facts: never in any danger (his own spokesperson), never anywhere near a ventilator. That's how we know his life was not threatened.

There was no 'conspiracy' involving other people. This thing was used politically. It allowed Johnson time out of the hotseat to avoid the massive questions surrounding his personal role in allowing a policy of herd immunity to be Plan A and then ditched; it allowed him to avoid the last 3 weeks of questioning over lack of PPE and testing.

In short: dont be so naive.
 
Labour has become Toxic and quite a few of its supporters display on a regular basis this toxicity. It puts off decent people, honest and fair people, as it only plays to those of equal toxicity. For years now, Labour, it’s MP’s and ultra supporters have gotten away with using language such as this thread title, Insulted ordinary people simply for having a differing view and now it’s Murderers and Gangsters. But it’s only recently that decent Labour supporters have spoken out against this, and the anti semitism, and it will take a while before Labour becomes a rational party that people will vote for....but of course the ultras are not really bothered about actually winning an election ......

I think youçll find plenty of 'scummy' behaviour performed by Conservative MP's documented in this thread. This behaviour has been criticised by all political shades, except the odd dogmatic/sycophantic Tory, like yourself.

Yes,some people do use hyperbolic language, but that doesn't excuse the behaviour of those you're perpetually defending, come what may.

Its always happened ever since leader became a thing... Just social media records it. Be it over the garden fence while hanging out washing or down the pub, gentleman's club or golf club etc.
If the temperature of wider social unrest is rising, some need to start asking why!
