For the DfiD one - reporting it to the Cabinet Secretary and CO lodging it in the system in case she returns as a Minister is rather serious.

For DWP - the complainant was given a significant payout.

Now for the HO, there is the unprecedented act of a Permanent Secretary suing the Government with the support of the FDA (the Union which never strikes and is most reluctant to take action against the Government). The Cabinet Secretary also stated his regret at the resignation.

The CO are now conducting an inquiry in to her conduct as a Minister.

So the Cabinet Secretary did nothing except putting it on the system. Nothing was actually done. Was the PM advised by the Cabinet Secretary prior to her appointment, or is this just another sly way of keeping something on someone until they wish to dredge it up....’its all in the files’......

Did he instruct all PS’s to write to all their staff reiterating that any form of bullying in the workplace will not be tolerated, by anyone. I hope it happened but I would suspect that it didn’t, just in case a couple of senior CS people got accused.....

They weren't buried. The system doesn't allow Civil Servants to do anything more.

I've briefed loads of Tory Ministers and they have all been personable and respectful. This one isn't.

This is whataboutism Pete. It's ok, people you agree with about politics can be awful too.

Let me show you how it's done. Priti Patel is, by all accounts, a nasty bully who reacts badly to being told things she doesn't want to hear. Kier Starmer is, according to people I know who have had contact with him, a pompous arse.

I’m not dying in a ditch over Patel, I’m pretty sure she can take care of herself. I’m more concerned with what the CS are now doing and more importantly what they didn’t do. Btw, who owns the system.....

Again, no arguments from me, if Patel goes she goes, but this has been a very useful episode to highlight and shine a light on the CS. She won’t be the last to go as a result of this...Cummings will be licking his lips over this god given opportunity......oh and I definitely agree with you about Keir Starmer who I believe is an empty vessel......
