Did anyone catch that Laurence Fox's performance on Question Time this week? Just see a few videos of it, wonder whether it was representative of him.

He came across is a racist Tory helmet; making the type of noises that the nazi clown himself would have made if he'd been on the panel.

This is what you get under a right wing majority: the cultural norms are trampled and a dangerous disregard for civilization ensues.

Now they are the clips I've seen. And it just seems to me that he's calling out the stupid identity politics that is responsible for making Labour unelectable.

Meghan for example. Her mother is mixed race, her father is white. She is mostly white, and her being hounded by the press is because the british press are scum. Not because Meghan is "black".

Camilla was compared to a horse and torn to pieces by the press, and Diana was basically killed by the press, but....Meghan is hounded coz she's black? Sounds like a load of nonsense to me.

And that's what it is. nonsense. But because that woman on Question Time is fully engrossed in her identity politics, she only sees race. And when the white man points it out that it's not about race in his opinion. She ironically points out that his opinion is irrelevant because he's a white privilged male.

As for his comments on grooming scandals: how isn't that part of the dog whistle racism we've seen for years now? It's a very good example of how stories are moulded to create an impression: in this case to demonise Muslim men living in old mill towns or northern cities. His protest that 'we all should stand together against "real" racism' is utter bollocks and meant to hand himself and his fellow travellers with a free pass to marginalise people on grounds of ethnicity and/or creed.

Fox is a divvy and I hope his name is dirt in the industry he works in. I suspect it will be.

A lot of it is about Law, standards, taxation, state subsidies and regulations etc. What I took he was saying was that some businesses may have to do a bit more to comply with new EU regulations or paperwork etc, while some businesses selling outside of the EU will not be tied down and can produce goods or services with equivalence to the customer country, and some businesses who only sell within the U.K. will again not have to follow or be held by EU restrictions. This, in many cases will mean an opportunity to buy and sell stuff more cheaply and competitively, while EU countries will not be able to do so. This is why the EU are trying to tie us down to their regulations, a level playing field, because they know that we will hold advantages. He is also right in saying that businesses have already had over 3 years to prepare, plus another year to go. So anyone not ready really have no one else to blame. It’s a business by business, product by product strategy. Some will gain, some will have no difference, some may lose. But any that feel they will lose should be well through with their preparations, so overall the U.K. should gain.

I read that the FCA are processing over 1400 applications for EU finance businesses to locate to the U.K., some of ours will do the same. Each business will have its own plans, they will bitch to the government because they have an opportunity to do so, and some will no doubt use the opportunity to raise prices where they believe they will get away with it

When we voted for Brexit, I readily suggested that we would have some short term pain, but I’m now not even sure that we will suffer that anymore...UK PLC is proving remarkably resilient...

It's the most ridiculous thing i have read in a while.

Her mother is black and father is white. That technically makes here 50/50. The word they use is biracial.

Not sure there's any legitimate test for how black or white you are.
