14 years of Tory government etc.
Be more cases like this under Labour if the DWP is not changed. They are beyond approach at times and bordering dangerous in my opinion, they constantly cause distress of individuals and work for us in the mental health team I'm part of, they really do need to have statutory safeguarding duty in place. Be part of Labours down fall if they don't.

Starmer's lot are handing more powers to the DWP to ignore physical and mental issues from claimants. They want the welfare budget slashed.

I've worked in mental health teams and completing PIP assessments for a company contracted by DWP.

The amount of liars and people gaming the system is astounding. There needs to be far more scrutiny on disability benefits, not less.

This is not to say other areas do not need additional scrutiny or that some people have not been accurately assessed.

You can call it anecdotal all you want, almost a decade doing PIP up to regional managerial level and mental health professional for 20 odd years. It's my experience, take it or leave it.

‘Ministerial departments in the last government spent £937,000 fighting transparency in 56 legal cases that were listed in 2023.

Many of the attempts at secrecy failed, with judges ruling that the public interest was best served by the release of official documents.’

Surprised our new resident protector of the poor and vulnerable @peteblue hasn’t posted this already tbh.

I was a bit busy this morning when it was published. Nice to see that you remember what caring is about though……

Interesting hearing the tory scum call out labour for enabling child sex grooming gangs and demanding action.

Let's have a little look...

james cleverly - Home Secretary
robert jenrick - Justice Secretary
kemi badenoch - Minister for Women and Equalities

If you want to see a right wing arsehole spreading misinformation, blatantly lying and refusing to answer questions directly, go look at scumbag Jenrick being interviewed on BBC breakfast this morning, absolutely incredible.

It’s no wonder there’s so many ignorant scumbags willing to jump on any old right wing bandwagon if that’s what they are allowed to get away either on mainstream media.

Shocked Badenoch as in proper thick, has taken the bait from Space Mary on his X about Islamic rape gangs, aligned her and the Tory Party with Tommy Many Names and essentially presenting Conservative Party further right than Farage and Reform.

I keep seeing the name "Andrew Griffith" in news stories and don't seem to have much recollection of his parliamentary history amongst all the Tory chaos so looked him up. Currently with the shadow business brief, remember Johnson getting the free use of a swanky flat for his leadership campaign? Millionaire backer Griffith provided it, and was rewarded with a safe seat in the 2019 election. Recently he's:

Backed Badenoch's leadership campaign right out of the gate (hence the shadow cabinet pick I guess)
Attended a launch event for the UK arm of a US anti-environmentalist lobby group (along with Farage & Truss)
Tweeted that Elon Muck "May have saved humanity" (as Musk was busy blowing smoke up the Reform hoop)

Certainly a danger to watch out for.
