What was the GPO?

Didn't it do telecoms as well as post originally?

British Telecommunications was state owned before it was sold off and re-named BT as well, I believe.

So, I think there's a flaw in your statement.

It ran the telecoms network. It did not manufacture the equipment. That was done by private companies such as Plessey, GEC, STC prior to Marconi Communications. There is no flaw in my argument.....

so after so many key people having left/resigned etc under May's government

If the defense secretary for the country is being kicked out now for these sorts of accusations then it makes a complete joke of a government surely? the PM can't deliver brexit no matter how much she wastes time, people walk out, others kicked out, the foreign Secretary (mark4 now is it?) is absolutely hated due to poor health secretary performance and now finally the man in charge of country defense from a political aspect is kicked out!

When does this all stop?

When she gets thrown out. And most conservative voters want it to happen now......

Police launch investigation into POSSIBLE anti semitism in the Labour party due to ALLEGATIONS made by opposition MPs. Gavin Williamson breaks the official secrets act gets sacked and May suggests the police don't need to be involved.

As a former whip, he has a lot of dirt.

Many companies from that era fell on hard times though Pete. Far bigger names like Lucent and Nortel crashed and burned too.

Williamson was my hunch.

But what the current vintage of Tory so special is that each and every possible culprit seemed plausible.

Trial by spin... Lets have Williamson defend himself in a court of law. Even a sacked Tory minister is entitled to British justice and prove his innocence.
And he should be tried for the criminal offence he has committed against the state, allegedly. He seems happy to do so, in theory.

Well, that's what Mays sacking letter suggests, let's have the evidence tested in court! Because if it's not Williamson our national security is still compromised!
