Lads, lads just sit back, relax and watch the Tory party die.
Both the Tories and Labour have been dead parties for decades. They're just propped up by each other's rigamortis and blind devotion from loyalists voters who will always support them no matter what. As political parties, they're empty shells filled careerist politicians with no morals or strong beliefs other then a desire to line their own pockets and strengthen their personal status and power.

No argument here, but a lot of masks have slipped lately. Hopefully enough people have switched on to the fact.

Dominic Grieve lost the confidence vote at Beaconsfield Conservative Association last night by 182 to 131 votes. The campaign against Grieve was led by the man who stood as the Ukip candidate for Beaconsfield in 2017. Jon Conway, a pantomime producer, had been recruited by the Conservatives after serving as a regional organiser for Vote Leave.

The party of Macmillan, Churchill, Douglas-Home - and indeed, Grieve's own father who was a prosecutor at Nuremberg. Dominic Grieve a small 'c' conservative gradual change, respect for institutions, against the executive riding roughshod over people's rights.

It's a shame that a party calling itself the 'conservative party' has no room any longer for an actual conservative as it marches towards UKiP Tommy et al.

Is that actually true? Or just a sound bite to say when you’ve not actually looked in to it properly? I know personally of many devoted Labour MPs and people within the Labour Party who care passionately about making the country better. I believe the Labour Party is the only viable way to make this country the fair and open country it can be, to suggest my support is purely blind loyalty and that the people with passionately and honestly held views don’t hold this shows you up and suggests you just don’t want to actually put any effort into thinking about this.

Yes it's true, and its also quite obvious to anyone who looks at our MP's in an impartial way. Of course there some are commited Labour MP's (and Conservatives, unless you're being utterly juvenile and partisan which would prove my point) who care about helping this country and its people and want to help both to be the best they can be but they're an extremely small minority. The vast majority on both sides are happy to ride the gravy train and further their own personal interests. If you honestly believe that half the Blairrites in the Labour party sincerity care about this country or it's people then there's little point in going further.

I've absolutely no idea why you decided to personalise this and make my post all about you and your beliefs when I mentioned neither. If you're trying to suggest that people in this country (and every other one for that matter) don't have a massive number of blindly partisan voters then you're lying to yourself.

Out of interest, why do you arrogantly presume that because I hold a diffent opinion to yourself I must of arrived at it through laziness on my part and not through many hours or reading endless different sources from both the left and right? You don't know me or anything about me.

To be fair its easy to make that assumption when you are apparently willing to ignore the fact that Labour have actually expanded by rather a large amount since 2015, and are willing to pretend that the PLP is representative of the wider party. There are a lot of MPs (and even more councillors) who are on the gravy train (to use the polite word, when what we are describing is Labour politicians who have done some nigh-on unforgiveable things), but to remove them will take time and it can only happen when (a) the membership is committed to doing it and (b) when what the leadership represents is seen to be successful.

When did I suggest that the PLP was representative of the winder party?! It clearly isn't. That was my point. It isn't fit for purpose as things stand and holds the wider Labour party hostage. Until that changes imo it's a dead party that fails to represent the true values of its members. Will that change in time as you say? I hope so as I've voted Labour for most of my life (including the last election) and would like to do so again.

I still don't see the need for you or anyone else to make presumptions about me based on two or three paragraphs typed on GOT though.

Depends on your point of view.....

Just another sad out of touch Tory who has no idea of the country they have created. Many mobile packages are far cheaper and cost effective than fixed line alternatives, and as stated in Twitter, try existing in the UK without broadband and associated devises let alone attaining universal credit.

So I put up a picture of a good looking woman and you come back with fixed line alternatives, broadband options, and universal credit......people need to get out more.....
