The general shift to the right across the entire world is troubling

The only hope is that the Generation Z folks can start turning things in the other direction so that it balances out a bit

It's happening with the men in Generation Z

Labour have been battered with this anti-Semitism stick for years now, but the Tories have always seemed to get away with the pretty blatant Islamophobia they display

This will probably be out of the news cycle in a day or two, the usual hacks will assure of it
There's more common-or-garden antisemitism rather than Palestinian sympathy in the Conservative Party, too.

There was a radio show on bbc4 a couple of weeks a go alt right or something it was called .
The right wing veiws was actually growing among the younger folk.
Intresting program .

Wasnt until I was in my 30s that I first voted. Expect it’s the same for quite a few others on here as well.
I was 21 in 1997, which was the first time I voted, and I felt the same desperation to be rid of the Tories then as now. We'd had 18 years of the swines by then, and they were just as sleazy, if not quite as overtly racist and nakedly corrupt.

I think you're probably right, though. There are clearly plenty who don't vote until later on in life.

Aye, 97 was my first voting opportunity at 19. Always voted Labour bar a vote for a local independent socialist candidate in frustration at the Blair years post Iraq.

I'll be honest, my labour vote has been dictated by wanting the Tories well away from power as much as any firm belief in the modern day labour party's mission and values being particularly compelling.

By the same token, the current day tensions around Sir Keir et al are the same symptoms of the underlying disease.
