Why do any Torys even consider taking Mick Lynch on? He wipes the floor with them all.

Bit off topic, this, but I’ve got a big soft spot for Mick. In my opinion he was the major catalyst when the tide started to change against these crooks and the public started to side more with the workers striking.

He shone a light on the corruption and unfairness and articulated it with calmness and assertion in a way that people could understand and relate to. It was a major turning point, in my opinion.

Same in our local recycling center, however, Local Authority announced they are to bring in entrance fee as yet undisclosed and booking slot for any DIY waste, plaster wall paper bricks paint etc. I know where this will end up. Pretty sure the evidence is people do try and recycle however, get frustrated by service for some reason as most fly tipping typically is with in a mile or so of these centers.
We get charged for plasterboard and nasty stuff like that that's difficult to dispose of safely, but it's not much if you're a DIYer. I had to get rid of some plasterboard recently and remember think "oh, that's not so bad" when told the charge.

I think commercials get charged more though. You have to pay to take a van in and stuff like that.

Just when you think we've reached the bottom...

A national and international scandal.
Besides the bad taste of two people throwing a grand about over something as serious as this, when there's hundreds of thousands of children below the poverty line and foodbank use at epidemic levels.
Political phallus measuring over such an insane idea seems more like a trump rally with the kkk than daily political discourse.

Though it'd be very funny if sunak got morgan deported and was a grand worse off for the hardship.

He'd make a great PM, but he wouldn't want it.

Some smug Tory on Peston just now going on about people who enter the country illegally…. This is dog whistling to the gammons and should be banned…. Nobody enters the country illegally (unless on false passport I suppose) … it’s not illegal to enter a country by any means … it’s what you do when you get there that determines your legality. Politicians know this yet still peddle the mantra because gammons are too thick to think for themselves.

They'll just claim that they've legislated to make it illegal by the illegal migration Act.

Oh yeah definitely…. But won’t mention the fact that legislation means nothing in the grand scheme of things.
No. It's a stupid law which effectively legalises the illegal and its doomed to failure.

It's entirely done for political motivation:
A) Labour repeal it 'soft on illegal immigrants'
B) Labour don't repeal it 'as bad as the tories'
C) the courts rule it unlawful 'foreign courts meddling' 'lefty lawyers' 'human rights Act'

My personal feeling is it's done to ultimately try and get us to drop out of Human Rights legislation.
